My Family and I have always went To WDW in the fall usually Sept/Oct but this year due to work and other issues we are going the June we will be there the 12th-21st. What I would like to know is 1) Are the crowds overwhelming since I usually require and ECV and 2) is the heat unbearable? I have never experienced either if these this time of year. I would love any input/tips someone out there might have. Thanks in advance fellow disers. :thumbsup2

and I am going back next month. I have been to Disney World in every month except April, and what I remember about June was that it was HOT (90's), rainy, and the steam rose from the ground in Animal Kingdom during the afternoon showers. I haven't been back in June since, but this year I am meeting up with friends for the Pin Event at EPCOT, which they moved from early September to late June. I expect it will be hot and rainy, since it is hurricane season (May to November), but the hottest months are usually August and September I believe.
I believe you can check weather.com for the averages for Orlando, and that will give you a good forecast.
here is the link for the June averages:

Hope this helps.

On our first trip to WDW, we were there from June 17-27. It rained once for about 40 minutes on our second or third to last day, but we happened to be in our room napping anyway. It was raining so hard and loud that it woke us up! But as soon as it stopped, we went to the park and you couldn't even tell that it rained.

I think the hottest it got was 82, the rest of the time it was mid to high 70s but it was HOT. Scratch that, more humid than hot. Seems like they've had some record highs in May.

We're going again June 19-29. Hopefully it won't rain too many days. I hear the worse is late July to early September. DON'T LET IT STOP YOU!

Thanks for the info guys....Hope you all have an awesome time without any problems...Sending some extra pixie dust your way :tink: :tink: and Disney hugs your way:hug:

its true definately warm and humid deadly combo if anyone gets cranky get in the ac and get water or food or both
:goodvibes

The weather the past week at WDW has been really hot and this week is expected to be in the mid-90's. IMHO, crowds do not get too bad until around the 3rd week; I know that many schools here in SE PA do not finish for the year until this Friday (6/12).

I think it is actually much worse (weather-wise) later in the summer. But I do remember my very first visit to WDW in June 1981. The temps were around 95!

The crowds will be busy this time of the year because the schools are out. You will need to use your FastPass option and make Advance Dining Reservations.

You will also have the rainy season in full swing so pack a poncho or umbrella. The good news is that the showers pass quickly. Have fun! :goodvibes

We were there last year June 19th to the 23rd I believe. If we had stayed in a hotel I would have said it was fine. But to keep things cheap we tent camped. We were wet for 4 days straight. Bedding was all wet from it being so humid and rainy. Tent did not leak though, that was a plus. Rained for a bit all but one of the days we were there. Those days it stayed nice. Mid to low 80's, the one day it didn't rain it was hot, low 90's.

We were there last year from June 17-22. It was hot and it rained hard every day in the afternoon. The duration of the rain usually was from 30-45 min. But it only rained once everyday and the rain did cool the air.

Todays high will be 102!! Gonna be in the 90s (prob higher w/ heat index factored in) It has been raining in the afternoon so bring a poncho ;)

I'm leaving for WDW in 3 days, it's suppost to be HOT! :scared1:
