Lunch was a veggie sandwich on rye from our local deli. It was staff meeting day - so we order in. I usually brown bag it. It had guac, havarti dill, cheddar, baby swiss, tomato, onion, green pepper, cucumbers, sprouts. Very good.
Dinner will be homemade pot pies with rice and some grapes.
Lunch today (eating it as I type) is leftovers. "Beans and weenies" (actually leftover baked beans with a leftover bratwurst cut up and mixed in) from our BBQ a couple of days ago, and a dish of broccoli leftover from last night's dinner. Also a slice of whole grain wheat bread with a little butter, and an iced tea.
Tonight's dinner will be French Dips (roast beef was on sale at my deli today) with melted provolone and au jus for dipping. Oven-baked French fries and onion rings on the side. I am also going to cook up a big pot of spinach greens (they are calling to me), and the kids will probably have corn and/or raw carrots. Dessert will be angel-food cake, topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries and whipped cream. YUM!
