Good day everyone. Dinner tonight is going to be spaghetti pie, homemade bread, and sliced tomatoes from the garden.

I was thinking the other day, that I used to put a weekly menu together, but I don't anymore. Does everyone else do that? It made my grocery shopping a lot easier. I need to start doing that again.... Maybe after school starts again that can be my new goal.

Have a fun day!

Tonight is easy.....our church is holding a weekly "family fun night" as a post-activity to VBS and Camp. So tonight will be hot dogs, chips, and lemonade courtesy of our church.

that is....if it doesn't rain. if it rains i'll make up a homemade pizza!

Tonight I know we're having oven baked tilapia as the main dish - will discuss sides with DD later in the morning once she is up. I'd probably go for brown rice but she doesn't like that so we'll see.

We put her on dinner duty on the days DH & I both work this summer.

At one time I did a weekly menu but it is too hard to keep track of everyone's schedules. So instead we try to keep a variety of things in the freezer including some of the premade family size entrees from Sam's Club that one of the kids can pull and put in the oven when they get home from school.

Hmmmm, not got all the details worked out yet but so far, we'll be having grilled zucchini and greek salad. Maybe grilled chicken.

We're going to try for the gilled pork roast again. We ended up doing pizza last night.

Carol,
We usually do a menu but I've gotten away from that lately.I really need to get back on track with it. It will definitely be easier once school starts again.
Now if the heat would just go away I can cook inside again.

Leftover pasta and sausage = more time to read the DIS boards! :rotfl:

Started to do a weekly planning menu on Sundays after dinner. I'd ask the boys to each pick what they wanted for dinner one night out of the week, made my life a lot easier. Have to get back to doing it again soon.

We're having chicken shish-ka-bobs with peppers & onion on the grill. Not sure what we'll have with it yet.

Round steak with gravy, rice, green beans, garlic biscuits, and green salad. Leftover brownies for dessert (could be brownie sundaes if I can bear the heat to make it to the grocery store!)

Veggie night-corn on the cob and fresh green beans, maybe a tomoato, cuke and onion salad

I'm almost too ashamed to admit this, but....

We had linguini with shrimp in white sauce, garlic bread and corn on the cob.

We won't talk about how much extra insulin I needed for that carb overload. My only excuse is that I felt too sick from the heat all day to eat anything so once the front moved through & it finally cooled down...well...

Skipped the pork roast again. Our friends called for a play date and dinner. Hey can't pass up a free meal that I don't have to cook. Spaghetti with sausage and salad. The kids got popsicles for dessert. Thanks Jill dinner was great!!!!! Dinner however, abruptly ended when the power went out. I guess it was a good thing I didn't go for the second helping of salad. :teeth:

I guess I will cook the pork tonight and have it tomorrow.
