Nancy How is Buddy doing? Sometimes I think it is harder for a man since they have the stigma of not crying.

Wendie Congrat's to Ross :thumbsup2.

Got to go get those pizza's in the oven.

Wendie- I forgot to congratulate Ross. Please tell him how proud I am, he has worked so hard.

Soup is in the plan for tomorrow, I wanted to make some for today, it has been pouring all day, but I did not get to it.

Janice- Buddy is not talking about it too much. He loved her so much and feels responsible to look after the girls. Now these are adult women but he is such an old fashioned man and they love him for it.

Laura- I cannot believe how hard you work on one meal! I use your Mom's guidelines on the sirloin roast and it comes out good for me. I do like it very rare though. I am also whining about the time change. We take Kady to 8 AM Mass and then to CCD. She is not a morning kid to begin with so this is no easy feat, tomorrow is going to be awful!

Here are dinner photos:

We also ate broccoli, lots of broccoli!

I made the double chicken and dumpling stoup, Rachael Ray recipe. My store doesn't carry any gnocci so I had to use tortellini instead.

It was okay. VERY salty - I drank an entire bottle of water trying to wash it down. You could smell the salt while it simmered...? I should have bought low sodium stock but didn't. Would have helped.

DH and I both ate it but it's not a fave. Glad I tried it, though!

I have hunted all through my recipes again for the instructions for cooking times for each kind of roast. Would someone please post it again????:guilty:

I forgot to mention that Ross received his second brown stripe in ju-jit-su last week in the next year he will test to be a brown belt..unreal!!

Way to go Ross!!!!

I know I've probably already exceeded my complaint quota for today, but I have one more. Liam has his Little League tryout tomorrow morning at 8 AM. Since it is Daylight Savings Time tonight, this translates to 7 AM. I think this may qualify as cruel and unusual punishment.

I feel your pain, I hate losing an hours sleep since I'm not feeling well. I ended up not cooking my shrimp linguine again today, been having stomach problems and body aches, not sure what's going on with me. I missed Kyle's game today, he pitched nine innings because it was tied after seven. He's not home yet but he says his back feels fine. We lost because we're just not hitting the ball. I am rambling now so I'll go now.

Becky - Do you have carving instructions for your chicken????? Mine never looks like that.

I don't have it either, and I was the one who originally posted it! I'll get it from my mom again tomorrow.

ETA: I hope you start feeling better soon, Kathy. Sounds like a tough loss.

Sheez, ya'll have been chatty today! No cooking for me tonight. I worked all day at the pharmacy, so it was pizza out. Our first night with our "new housemates" went really well. Sis has one dd who is 10 weeks older than my ds. It's a zoo around here, but lots of fun. Okay, gotta run--try not to be so chatty tomorrow when I'm at work;)

I am guessing something like Voila noodle/chix/veggie mix. Something I can microwave.

I already have the crockpot going with my cheesy chicken pasta. I am going to add some broccoli florets to it later, and we'll have a salad and garlic bread to go with it.

WFD at your house??

Sloppy joes... I have to work today so my theme is EASY! I'll also serve french fries.... probably a green salad!:thumbsup2

Good Morning!

I think it will be steak, curried sweet potatoes and whatever veggie I feel like having!

Off to grout the bathroom floor! :)

Have a great day!

:thumbsup2

Feeling a bit better today, hopefully will fix the shrimp artichoke linguine I've been planning since Friday.

Kathy- I hope that you feel better. Sending a hug to Kyle, that sounded like one rough game.

Aimee- no words, just lots of prayers and good thoughts going your way.

Becky- I thought I saved the directions but I must have just kept referring back to the original post. This time I'll copy them to my file.

Lauren- I admire your stamina. We are notorious for not finishing those big projects.

I am not sure that I will cook today. Buddy is wiped out and just wants to crash. My cousin is leaving on vacation so Gail and I have to take her turns at my Aunts so today I have lunch and dinner. It would not be too bad but I live almost 1/2 hour away so this is going to be a long week.

cod pomodoro, by Laura's request. She was pouting when I suggested anything else, so cod pomodoro it is. As punishment I am going to make her pit all the olives and chop the garlic.
