Personally, I've only been selling about 9-10 months.

I find that some things sell really well like video games, recent books, DVDs and baby/toddler clothes. And others like board games, older kids clothes and older books, not so much.

I do get buyers for about 80%-90% of my stuff. Sometimes I'm surprised by the final price but usually it's what I expect or what I would pay.

For me, it's still worth it. It's a nice little vacation (Disney) fund.

Storzo, do you sell your books and videos on eBay or their fixed-price division, Half.com? I just uploaded 40+ books on Half.com, and can't figure out if that was a waste of time or not. On the one hand, you pick your sales price and don't have an end date. On the other hand, you may or may not sell. I'm just curious if you, or anyone else, like the half format.

I sell them on regular eBay. I gotta be honest...I never even heard of half.com until now.

To me, I'm happy with whatever I get. I mean, I read the book, I'm not going to read it again so whatever money I get back is like found money. KWIM? I also like eBay because sometimes things sell for much more money than I thought. I'm afraid that if I set a sale price I'll set it too low.

I like eBay and having the end date because then I know when the stuff will be out of my house. If a book doesn't sell, I may hold onto it until I get another by the same author and then I try to sell as a lot. If I still can't sell, I donate them to my kid's school.

I've sold books on Ebay and Half.com both. I think half is good for those books that you're only willing to take a specific amount of money for and would prefer to keep the book if you can't get what you want out of it. If you just want to be rid of it then Ebay is better. Ebay used to be good for getting rid of relatively low-value books in lots. Now that they have a maximum shipping allowed, well, not so good anymore.

I have gotten a whole new supply of zip lock top lanyards for use in Disney or any theme park - or work - whatever!

When we went to Disney in October, I loved having these. I fit my photopass card, room key, fastpasses, ID, CC - etc. I had my son wear one, too, with his stuff so that he had what he needed if we got separated.
