What's Everyone Doing for Valentine's Day?

I wish you all a lovely Valentine's Day! My Valentine (DF) is working in FLA so we aren't together today. I am leaving late tomorrow night for FLA so we will hopefully celebrate Valentine's day on Sat. I am planning on cooking him dinner! Fingers crossed on how that will turn out!

we are celebrating saturday too.... DF is on night shift right now so he's working tonight...

We will be having Sushi tomorrow.. I can eat Sushi everyday My DF always brings me a dozen roses... I hope everyone has a loving Valentines Day

Before getting married I ate sushi everyday!!!! Love it, but DH doesn't so I have had to adjust my routine.

We had a sexy dinner of Chipotle burritos, beer (him - Beck's dark, me - corona), and then we shared a piece of cake. Awesome huh? Such romance!

OH! and then we fell asleep at about 8:30! lol

We had been digging my car out at 2:00 in the morning the morning of Valentine's day, so we were a little tired!

Lets see here-- my evening consisted of making chocolate covered strawberries, homemade salad dressing, grilled lemon peppered chicken, & baked potatoes. We ate as soon as DH got home (i forgot to take photos-- im sorry).

Oddly enough I MADE chocolate covered strawberries and DH purchased some from a girl that makes them at his work for $15. So we hopped in the car and drove to my parents house and gave them the $15 chocolate covered strawberries for Valentines Day . We stayed there and watched American Idol and then headed home and crashed.

My DF and I were able to go out to dinner at our favorite local restaurant (it's cheap, good food, and within walking distance of our apartment)...and we spent the evening watching our tv on dvd--we're practically obsessed with buying our favorite shows on dvd so we can watch them whenever--we've got all 10 seasons of Friends, 5 seasons of That 70s Show, 5 of the West Wing, etc.

I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day! SO and I have decided we really don't enjoy V-Day so we'll probably not do anything special in the future - saves money!

We woke early to dig out my car. I drove to work in very bad conditions (my 20 minute drive took 1 hour) only to get there to find the office closed. I turned around and went back home - but not before stopping at Dunkin Doughnuts for some healthy breakfast for me and SO (he was working from home!)

I napped on the couch and watched the weather channel. We ended up taking SO's mom to the Outback for dinner (since his dad is in Germany on business) and I got super sick - I think I have GERD and am seeing a doctor on Tuesday - so that totally ruined my plans for the rest of evening. I got so upset that I was sick but SO was just wonderful and took care of me - I guess that sort of unconditional love is really what V-Day is all about!

we ended up taking a nap yesterday afternoon when DH got home, and then we went to chili's ( we had a 5 dollar off coupon haha) DH got my a pink saphire ring! white gold with little bitty diamonds on the sides. its for the ring finger on my right hand. i wore a true love waits ring on that hand for 6 years, and bobby took it from me after the wedding and i said my finger felt naked, and he remembered it and gave me the ring! i will post pics of it later, its so pretty! oh and we watched american idol while DH studied for law school. how romantic haha

Haha isn't it nice when you end up studying when you're supposed to be being romantic? I neglected to mention that while watching tv, I was deep inside a fascinating (not) book for school...hahaha...and I can't wait to see pictures of your ring, it sounds very pretty!

On Valentines day morning, my FH hand delivered 2 dozen red roses to me at work. Later that day when I went home for lunch I was surprised to find 2 dozen white and 2 dozen pink roses that he had left for me around the house. When I arrived home from work later that day he told me that he had one more gift for me. He pulled out a Build-a-Bear dressed in a tuxedo that he made for me and told me to squeeze the bears hand. When I squeezed his hand it played a recorded message in John's voice asking me to marry him, at the same time he got down on one knee, showed me the ring, and ask me again...I said yes of course!!!...What a Valentines day surprise!!!

I got a new Sony Cybershot digital camera-- my photos should be much clearer now girls!! Dh and I got this as our "gift together"... we find that a lot more sensible than just doing out spending money on things we both dont need. But we certainly did need the camera (and since hes not one to take photos-- its basically mine )... he bought it a few weeks before valentines day to surprise me and said 'let this be out together gift' and i was cool with it!
