What's a AAA parking pass?

I just noticed a couple of threads about the AAA parking pass. What is that? Can I buy that from AAA (if it that's beneficial)? I'm going in September so I don't know if that would work. I'm assuming it's some kind of parking discount?

It is not a parking discount. There is a designated parking area that is directly behind the handicapped parking area. Hence it is quite close to the entrance. The area is reserved for AAA diamond parking voucher holders, however, the parking space is first come first served, hence you are not guaranteed to be able to park in that area. Note that you still have to pay for parking.

You can get the voucher by buying a ticket (or package) from AAA. During our recent trip, we were able to park in the diamond parking area all but once in MK. When we were in AK, seems that they added additional area when the diamond parking lot is full. Personally, I do not think it is really that close, but then as we used the voucher this past trip, hence I forgot how far it would have been

Unfortunately we already got our lodging, plane tickets and park tickets (ticketmania was cheaper than AAA) so I guess I'm out of luck for this closer parking area. Oh well. I've never driven in WDW so this will be an experience for me! Thanks again for the explanation.

AAA has the 6 and 7 day hopper plus for cheaper than Ticketmania. AAA doesn't sell the 4 and 5 day hoppers w/plus options, maybe that's what you got. -Steph

Yep. Got a 5 day hopper. Thanks for the heads up for our next trip.
