We all have done this i think. Said we must have something for the parks, resort, ect. but forgot it. What are the items that you seem to always forget? What means so much to you that you never could forgot?

When we went in 1973... my Mom forgot all her pants...

I Packed my bathroom items, contact solution, toothpaste, toothbrush, ect last time and in moving everything around in the bags it got somehow did not get back into the back. I got there and had nothing. At 11:30 at was in the hotel store trying to get some basics to last for the trip and of course they did not have the only contact I can use. I will make sure that never happens again.:rotfl:

Usually personal items for ME! So busy packing for DD and helping DH remember that MOM gets left out! Not this year...remembering my brain when I pack this time!

I usually forget items for colds/ilnesses...or I pack one dose in small bottles and someone gets really sick so we need to go out and buy meds anyway.

I usually forget something that I can't pack in advance like my hair straightener or makeup. I always make a list to remind myself the things I need to pack after I use them the morning that we leave.

One time DH forgot to pack all his underwear on a trip.:rotfl:

Believe it or not nothing!! I have a vacation list which i always use (sometimes have to add a thing or two to it each year). I start packing over a month ahead of time and start crossing things off my list. It is that much less i have to do. each day i can add another thing or two, etc...I have a corner which i put all my vacation things and just keep adding. For the items that i will need last minute i add them to a seperate sheet of paper and put on the dining room table for the morning that we leave so nothing is forgotten. As a matter of fact today i started adding items to my medicine chest & toiletry bag and got a good amount of stuff crossed off that list (i have 4 weeks 5 days to go before we leave but i feel good at least i started).

One trip i forgot to pack all my socks. I love to wear sandals around home so packing them for the trip was an oversight....I only had one pair that I wore down there for me to wear every day to the parks (yes, I washed them throughout the trip).

On one of our earlier Disneyland trips DH forgot to pack socks. We had to head over to target where they only had the giant pack of athletic socks. He went from no socks to too many. Although I think he still has a few pairs of those target socks. They lasted a long time!

I got a new digital camera for one of our trips and forgot it at home. Was so bummed!

We go almost every year and I have a list as well. It is laminated so I can cross things off with marker and then erase the lines for next year! I too leave in 4 and a half weeks and have started packing.

Once I forgot my hairbrush since it was one of those items I used the morning we left. I also have a tendency to have to repurchase items I already packed but are in the room when I need them- ie: tylenol/advil. A few times I needed it while we were out and had a nice big bottle in the hotel room but ended up paying for a trial pack in the parks. Now I toss 4 little pills in an empty contact lens case.

I used to have nightmares about leaving for the trip and realized that I forgot my planning notebook :) Seriously, though, its DH who normally forgets to pack stuff

One year, I forgot to pack all of our no-expiration park tickets w/5 days left in each one. I had to pay another $1000+/- to get a new set of tickets for us. Never forgot anything again after that trip..

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I don't know why, but that seriously cracked me up!! It reminded me of a trip we took to Bermuda when we were little....my mom forgot to pack all our family's underwear ! We had to go into town for an emergency underwear run for everyone ! :lmao:

One thing I forget all the time, that I swore I wouldn't this time, is band-aids. They come in handy in case blisters pop up from all the walking.

I think I'm going to put that one on my TIPS list!!! What a great way to squeeze another trip out of DH! :lmao:

But seriously, I'm so glad you were in a position to purchase a new set...that would have been disastrous!! :scared1:

When my DS was 6, his favorite item was a small Buzz Lightyear. He went everywhere with us. I had already packed Buzz when DS decided he needed to play with it. Guess who never ended up being packed? It was not a good trip for my DS. He was so miserable. I tried to tell him that he was playing with everyone else at home, but he didn't buy it.

Here's a list of the things I usually forget:

Toothpaste
Toothbrush
hair brush
deodorant
bathing suit
camera
cell phone
Headache meds

Now I've never forgotten my pants, but who knows there's a first time for everything.:lmao:
