Could someone please tell me the concept of the Stitch ride? Please don't spare the horribleness of it. We waited in line for it and DS9 started having major anxiety about it even in line. I never really understood why -- he LOVES Stitch, and even though we heard it was a bit crazy, I didn't think it could be that bad. DS did have the flu while we were there so he was a bit out of sorts (we were at MK after several days in the room) so we had no problem just jumping out of line and forgetting about it. It just wasn't worth his discomfort.
After reading so many posts about Stitch really being awful, I am SO GLAD we skipped it! However, we did find the gift shop and bought a Stitch lightswitch cover.Listening to DS9's wishes AND buying him a Stitch souvenir= one happy camper!

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, that bites.
Before we went, one of my bgf's told me that in AE when you feel the harness coming down, sit up very tall before it locks, I did and then I had "breathing room" which is important if you're prone to anxiety or panic, I try to remember this (Unofficial guide should tell you which rides are scaryor have harnesses)
Mission spaceI thought my head would explode, I love rides(especially roller coasters) But HATED mission space IMO it was just wrong
on the other hand my DS and my dad loved it...
I completely understand this one! I truly felt like my head was going to explode too -- the pressure was so immense! I am certain I was close to either fainting or having a heart attack (never had either, but boy it was awful!) Never, NEVER again. (and not even the reduced motion one either -- nope, nope, never, NEVER). I remember thinking "Dear God, please just let me LIVE through this one!".![]()
Thanks to bopper and unbroken chain on the synopsis of the Stitch ride. Doesn't sound too horrid (as compared to Mission Space anyway), but it was probably good we skipped it as DS wasn't feeling 100%. Doesn't sound like there is a need for us to seek it out next time either.
I heard there was a non-spinning version of Mission Space that wasn't that bad?
