What would your plan of attack be for the new DHS nighttime extra magic hrs?

So with respect to the new nighttime extra magic hrs at DHS that were just announced, what are your ideas if how you would approach those 2 hrs? With so many e tickets in the park, I am struggling with a plan of attack!

The best I have right now is to start down sunset w. RnRC and Tower, come up and do slinky, then do Rise and Falcon, and if there is still time, mania and railway.

What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I would do SDD first, I love it at night and the lines are looooooong during the day. Then I'd probably go over to ToT, again beautiful at night. After that maybe RoTR and the other after that if there is time. Really you could save ToT to the last ride of the night, I don't think the lines would be horrible for it or RnRC. I think it is going to depend on the time of year and crowd levels.

I’m kind of disappointed in this. I was really looking forward to Magic Kingdom hours. we are going the week after, so I guess we will see what happens.

But I like the SDD start. I feel like that and Rise would be some of the longest lines

Personally, I think RotR will not be included in the available rides. The ride uses cast members in more "acting" roles and I wonder if they pay extra for that. Jungle Cruise is not open for MK extended evenings and it also has cast members who act as part of the ride.

Remember whatever you tap into first will have people in line from before the park closes to non-deluxe guests. Until fantasmic comes back, HS will likely have plenty of people hopping in line 5 mins before early evening hours. You may be better off doing rides with more moderate waits like TSMM the first half hour before moving on to headliners.

I'm just curious how Disney is going to handle adding HS into the extended hours list. Is it in ADDITION to MK and Epcot and there will be more than 2 days a week with extended hours?

I feel like it’s replacing MK for that week. If it was in addition to, I think they would have had MK hours. I kind of wish they replaced Epcot with HS instead of MK though

I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for them to announce dates through the end of April, to see what sort of pattern they follow for this new schedule. We were originally planning to try to stack genie+ throughout the day for an evening at Hollywood Studios, but if they’re doing deluxe hours, we may just pay for the Rise LL near the end of regular hours and then run through the rest of the headliners for deluxe hours. I’d rather they drop EPCOT deluxe hours than Magic Kingdom though. I’m just worried they’re on some sort of A/B/C schedule, and there won’t be HS hours the week we’re there.

Mostly I'm just feeling offended that it's for deluxe guests only. Another example of taking something that was included for everyone and offering it only to the big spenders. Quite a disappointing message. I guess it's the way of the world, though, and I'll just have to adjust.

We moved “off-site” to Swan to get the perk, and we are paying less then Moderate prices ($20 more then our Pop rate).

Yes, that looks like an an inexpensive solution on the surface; however, it's $20 per night you didn't previously have to spend to access that perk. For a week-long trip, that's $140. (I'm also not sure if you're counting the additional tax to come up with that $20 figure, but that would be an additional amount.) Plus the Swan and Dolphin charge a $35 daily resort fee and $29/day plus tax for parking. Add to that $15 per person per day plus tax if you want Genie+, and however much the surge pricing is for Individual Lightning lane plus tax, and whatever you are paying to get from the airport to your resort and back plus tax and perhaps tip, and all of a sudden your total bill has gone up a whole heck of a lot, for arguably less service. Oh, and don't forget they've reduced the portion sizes at meals.

Oh I didn’t say it didn’t go up. But ticket prices have gone up every year since our first trip.

i was counting the resort fee (they put it in your total price quote now), and we don’t rent a car.. so no parking. But the daily room rate is actually cheaper at the Swan then our Pop reservation was. The final bill is about $20 a day higher… and it should be a lot nicer. Which was surprising for me. Plus we get the nighttime hours, and are a walk away from Epcot and DHS. Worth the extra cost to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was just saying it isn’t just for big spenders… which is what your post was about…. But yeah, prices at Disney went up.. for less “product”. We know…that wasn’t what was being discussed here….

but my point was, we went “off-site” to get the perk because the cost of the Disney hotels are too high. So they lost that part of our business. We got more for less elsewhere.
