What would you request at BWV?

Trip is in 3 weeks, at BWV in a pool/garden view studio. NO interest in staring at Pennywise out our room window, but other than that, should we request anything else? So far we just asked for a high floor near an elevator. We are spending almost all of our time at Epcot andd DHS this trip/

Village Green view will be close to elevator and partial BW view. Those rooms overlook the grassy area between the lobby and the boat dock.

High floor near the elevator would likely get you the clown unless you request village green. :joker: Otherwise I like the views toward Swan/Dolphin although it's a longer walk.

I agree

I agree!

I had a pool/garden studio in 2013. I requested Village Green and got the clown pool view. So remember requests are not guaranteed.

LOL. That clown pool is just awful. I'm not even AFRAID of clowns but that thing is just bizarre. I'll survive if we're staring at it again (our last visit had a prime view of his face outside our balcony). Mostly I just want a room that's reasonably convenient to get to. To request Village Green I would call MS right?

I'm wondering the same. We have a boardwalk view studio booked in June. I would rather face the boardwalk than the village green (Although I wouldn't complain. It's not that big a deal), but what I really do want is a high floor. How would I request that? Should I call? Or is there somewhere on my reservation where I can place requests?

If you gave a BW view booked, you will get BW view, not Village Green. Call MS to request a high floor.

All Boardwalk view studios face the boardwalk. There are Boardwalk view 1 BRs that are on the corner of the building and technically face the Village Green but you're fine with the studios.

Thanks for the clarification! I remember reading about possibly facing the village green when booking a Boardwalk view.

Had Boardwalk View studio for 3 nights last week. Made no requests - figured any BW view room would be good. Got great room on third floor in Crest 'O the Wave section. Good kind of balcony railings, not solid wall type. :)

Had Pool View for next two nights. Asked for high floor close to elevator. Got 5th floor close to elevators & overlooking feature pool. Will not request this again - microphone for afternoon pool games was VERY loud. (Decided to go well after 7 month window so had to take what I could get. Was happy to be at BWV, but this trip confirmed that I am not a fan of studios or changing rooms in the middle of a short stay).

I'm with you on the no studios and no split stay preferences, Carol! Glad you got a good BW view room. I so miss having a slat railing balcony. I used to love sitting and reading and watching the BW activity but now we are always in 2049 with a solid wall balcony. Not really complaining, though, as long as DH and I can still be there!

We had our first long stay in a pool/garden view room that overlooked the Clown pool a few weeks ago. Though I'm not a fan of the pool parties (haven't we decided that loud noise is bad for childrens hearing?) I actually found I wasn't bothered by it. It wasn't quiet relaxation but in general I consider BWV one of the busier resorts so I guess it kind of fit in with my feel of the resort. Mornings and evenings were pretty quiet though and it was only mid-late afternoon for the activities.

We usually stay in a dedicated 1 bedroom standard view - and those have always been very quiet (except for the EPCOT fireworks).

This last trip was our turn for noisy neighbors, too. :teeth: The 3 or 4 kids in the connecting 1 bedroom did not have "indoor" voices. But can't say that it really bothered us all that much and we were only in that room for two nights, anyway. We'll be back in the 1 bedroom SV for F&W. :)

I think by the time you get to most of the very quiet standard view rooms you're in another resort.

Actually we usually go between the standard and the boardwalk view so I do know the peacefulness of some of the standard views. As it turned out I was pleasantly surprised by the pool/garden view and won't worry about it if we end up there again. But it's almost exclusively 1 and 2BR's for us. I'm spoiled. :D

How are you always in the same room? Does this happen often?

At BWV there is only 1 HA studio and 1 HA 1BR in the Boardwalk view category so if you book that you're always in the same room.

we had a higher floor (4th I think) facing the clown pool. however we had several trees blocking the clown so it worked out fine. I didn't feel like there were many bad views at BWV; lovely resort.
