What Would You Do?

I will be going to Disneyland June 4-8 with plans on visiting the parks the 5th, 6th and 7th. My main purpose for going is the GotG ride. So far my full DCA day will be the 6th which is also a grad nite. I was thinking of changing it to where my full DCA day is the 5th since it isn't a grad nite, but the 5th is EMH morning at DCA and I'm not staying on site and I have an annual pass so I won't get EMH. What would you do? Let me rephrase that. What causes the most crowds in the morning? EMH or grad nite days? Thanks for your input!

EMH will be worse. FP distribution for GOTG starts during EMH and the ride is open so you will already be "behind" by going on an EMH day. Grad Night crowds arrive later in the day so I would go that day.

Given that you don't have access to EMH, then I would opt to go to DCA on the grad nite day (opposed to day with EMH). The general feeling is the grads tend to spend the day over in DL and then hop over to DCA for their after-hours party. On EMH mornings, GotG is included in the attractions that are open, so by the time the park opens to the general public there will already be a line.

I agree the Grad Night morning will be a better choice for lower crowds. However, I always recommend that you do the things that are really important as soon as you can. You never know when rides will be closed, crowd size will be unusual, etc. So I'd track fastpasses on the 5th to see if you can swing it for GOG - it's so easy to park hop. It's a rare day my family doesn't hot both parks. Sometimes just for one ride or show!

I'll be there when you are - have a great trip!

Thanks! I like visiting both parks everyday but it's not something my travel companion can do since she has a disability which forces her to have to take things slower than my usual pace. I'm pretty much a park commando.

I would go July 1-4 when they have blockouts on July 1and 2nd for passholders.

Thanks but I am a pass holder and my plans are already solidified. I have my flight paid for. Changing my dates isn't an option.

Then I would get there early if there more then one of ya
Have one get fastpasses the other get in stand in line then meet up with stand in line and at least u will get to go twice on it

I will be in the parks the same days and already have planned to do DCA the 6th. In my experience, grads do seem to spend the day in DL. I was there this past Monday, too. Based on that experience, going on an emh day would give you a severe dissadvantage.
