I voted for option three but I think I would flip your CSR and AKL days. That way you can anticipate going to your favorite first, do the parks, chill at Marco Island and then chill even more at AKL.

And I expect a full unbiased report from you when you get back.
Skip WDW all together and spend all your time at Marco.
Unfortunately, that's not an option at all. First, neither one of us could stand being in the area and not going to Florida, and I personally would go absolutely OUT OF MY MIND spending 12 days in Marco Island. I like to relax, but after a while I need to be doing something, and as much as I love Marco, there's not a whole lot to do there.
I'm with you on this one Kathy. I don't think I could visit anywhere in the State of Florida and NOT go to Disney.![]()
How is it going Kathy? Any decisions made as of yet? Hope you had a good weekend.

I was just wondering about Kathy myself. I haven't seen her post much lately.

I hope whatever it is that keeps her away from us it is something fun.
Tough one, Kathy! What a great choice to have though. As much as I love CSR, I too, would love to try AKL. Go for it & enjoy!!! You made have put it down, but I don't remember. When are you going?
I've been wondering too if you have made a decison yet?![]()
Wow Kat... I'm sorry to hear about your son's car. That is horrible. At least your son or g/f wasn't in the car or hurt. I think if no one is found your son's insurance will reimburse him for the book value. I hope they catch who did this.Mark (hubby) is in a lot of pain and I've not been sleeping at night because he can't sleep; Markie (son) was home for the weekend with his girlfriend (she drove her car because he has a cast on his driving foot) and while they were hair, someone rearended his car which was parked in front of his house at school...and hit it hard enough that they had to tow it because it was sticking out in the middle of the street; we're waiting for the information from the police now that Mark is back at school to see if they caught the guy, insurance, how bad the car is, etc. If the car is totaled, not sure what we will do or the insurance company. He HAS to have a car and if we have to pay for a new "used" one, there won't be a trip next year.
Right now, the plan is to leave September 17 and stay at the AKL for three nights and NOT go to the parks; then go to Marco Island for five nights and then CSR for five nights and go to the parks.

EDIT::: I hope Mark is feeling better as well.
Thanks, Tim. I just talked to Markie. They did find the person who hit him and they are sending info to my son (he'll have it tomorrow) and then we'll start working on all the paperwork, insurance companies, etc. It is a 1992 Jeep...it was just something for him to have at school for his observations at the grade school for his classes and work, etc., and he has to have a car for that and then student teaching. Just when things seem to be taking a turn in the right direction, something else comes up.
Big Mark is in a lot of pain. It's in his neck and into his shoulder and his arm. We hope to have answers on Friday.
So what do you think of our decision on the trip (assuming we go)?
Kathy,
I'm so sorry about Mark - I hope he gets some answers on Friday. Sorry about Markie's car, but I'm glad they know who did it. Hopefully that will all be sorted out easily for him.
I think your plan looks great - wish I could go too!
Mary
I think your plans are awesome!!!! I think you will love doing it this way! Now take me with you! LOL

Oh my goodness! First you have to tell Mark to go to the Dr. and get a CAT scan and an MRI, get a first, second and third opinion....Todd went through this for an entire year, took him to every specialist, Dr, therapist under the sun...meds after meds and nothing worked, the tests showed nothing wrong and yet the boy was in pain from his neck, shoulder, arm and back...made my life miserable because I couldnt fix him. Then I took him to a pain management Dr and they gave him and epidural and it worked! So he had minor back surgery to burn the end of the nerves and miraculously the pain is gone!
That is terrible about the car but at least no one was in it and no one got hurt!
