three chicken breasts, four italian sausages and a variety of cheeses. We also have 18 eggs and your standard staples in the pantry and spice cabinet.

WE were out of town for the weekend and drove in through a snowstorm. Just happy to make it home safely and did not think to stop at the grocery for milk and the like. Now we are snowed in. Any ideas?

Do you have any spaghetti sauce? You could make italian sausage sandwiches if you had bread. Or just bake/cook the sausages with sause and serve by themselves.

If you have powdered ranch dressing mix or something else you can use for a marinade then just put that on the chicken and pop it in the oven.

I make a baked chicken and pasta that's good
one pound of pasta dry uncooked in casserole dish
uncooked chicken breasts on top of pasta
spaghetti sauce on top (make it a little thinner than you would normally eat - add water)
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-1 hr depending on how much meat I would say
At mozzarella cheese to whole thing last 10 minutes and it is a crowd pleaser here

:rotfl:

Thanks luv2nascar. Looks like we were exchanging recipes at the same time (look at the soup thread). Yours sounds better than mine, however.

Do you have ranch dressing and bread crumbs? If so just slice the chicken up, dip it in ranch dressing, roll it in the bread crumbs, and bake it or fry it in olive oil! Simple and delicious!

Also, if you have BBQ sauce and bacon you could throw the BBQ sauce on the chicken, bake, cook the bacon, put the bacon on the top of the chicken and melt some cheese..bam..Monterary Chicken. You can serve this with rice or potatoes. Good Luck!

I make chicken and dumplings from scratch and it's easy. Boil the chicken breasts in salted water. When done, chop the meat and return it to the broth. In a bowl combine 1 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 t. salt, 3 t. baking powder, 1 egg, 3/4 c. milk (Do you have nonfat dry milk? Reconstituted, it would work or you might be able to use water?), 1 t. dry parsley optional. Mix. Dip clean spoon in the broth and then scoop a spoonful of batter into the soup. Make sure the spoon is recoated with soup with each dip and they won't stick to the spoon. Reduce heat and simmer covered for 12 minutes.

Or you could make sausage and cheese scrambled eggs.

If you have some cheese and mayo why no make a fried egg sandwhich. Fry a couple of eggs toast some bread. But some mayo and cheese on bread then egg and enjoy. Good stuff. ::yes:: :teeth:

YUM!! Thanks everyone. I will print this thread and try all of these soon.
