Also, if you bought the prior kid’s ticket from UT and now want to exchange it for a better deal, also through UT, would UT just do an exchange of tickets for you, giving you a refund (less their fee) of the difference? Then you would not have money tied up in an expired ticket until you can apply it to a future ticket.

Reporting back to let everyone know that UT accommodated me by cancelling the existing full-price child ticket for a 100% refund and allowed me to purchase the child ticket at the new promo price. They are always so accommodating. It is important to note that the only reason they were willing to do this without the 5% cancellation fee is that it was basically an exchange of ticket type, not a full cancellation. We were able to keep the existing adult tickets at the old pre-increase price. This whole exchange saved us over $300.

Another reason using UT is so amazing. They provide so much flexibility, and if a promo comes out, you might still be able to take advantage of it. I did the math, and even if I had to exchange all tickets and lose the adult tickets at the old price, it would still have been over $200 cheaper.

Anyone know if the "adult tickets at child ticket price" promo will be coming back to UT anytime soon? We used that promo last year for our fall trip and it was a really good deal, but the current promo (with the gift card) is not as good.

even with the summer discount and a bit more of a deal from UT, GCH is still so dang expensive!! We are going with friends with DVC though and want to stay with them. Anyway, it's booked and I can ignore the $$$ for a while.
