What would you do to try to prevent this strange allergy?

Thats interesting, however the article mentions it's usually on the legs and is not itchy just a red rash. Mine was extremely itchy, wasn't on the legs, just the ankles, feet tops and hands. (some spots started up my arm by the time I was home).
Good to know about that other article though! Glad to know from that and pp's that I'm not the only one to have experienced something like this.

Did they have tiny little bumps? Mine were lots of tiny little bumps, if left alone they were normal color with tiny miniscule blisters on top. The redness came from scratching. If so, then maybe it was a type of heat/sun rash.
Guess I'll find out weather it's an allergy or not when I see the allergist, otherwise I'll find out this summer, if it comes back again. Though I was out in the sun lots this past summer, but not walking around like we did in Disney, but then again this rash started before we hit Disney and lots of walking around.
It was sad on our last day in the parks (one more park day after our cruise), because my 6yr Son wouldn't hold my hand as in his words "your hands feel weird mommy". On the one hand it was funny, but on the other it broke my heart.

DCL has hypoallergenic sheets available. You'll need to complete the medical form, have your doc sign it, and fax it to DCL. They will do a special "allergy cleaning" in your room using only hypoallergenic cleaners, and will use special sheets that are laundered separately and differently from the normal sheets.

I actually made our own sleep sack out of two sheets (not the fitted sheets). I took the sheets to an alterations place and asked had them stitch across the bottom and halfway up each side. Cost me about $15.
