What word do you always forget how to spell?

liznboys! Sorry about that! I didn't mean to imply anything! :o :p LOL!

I keep Merriam-Webster online as the third site in my favorites for days I care about my spelling. ;) And ... I just had to cheat and peek to see how to spell "Merriam", I spelled it "Merrium" and I knew that wasn't right.

LOL!  :teeth:

:rotfl: :rotfl:

I didn't take it that way, you really DID make me feel better! LOL!!!!

Occurrence. I hate that word. At my job, every day called off work is an "occurrence", and if you get three in a 12 week period you get counseled. Everytime I have to write it, I have to look it up!

Now that I think about it, "counseled" is another one!!:p

I have a mind block on the word definitely. (Or is it definitaly, definatly, defanitley???) I can't tell you how many times I've looked it up on dictionary.com! I just can't remember it. :o

me too !!! can't say how many times I've had to look it up to post.

also someone mentioned weird - I never messed this up but It made me think about when my daughters 3rd grade teacher recently corrected her paper and marked 'weird' wrong and changed it to 'wierd'.

Resuscitation and rhythm. It took me three tries to type them just now.

I have to use these words every day at work, and they kill me. I sure am glad to use the abbreviations whenever I can.

Here's another one: intussusception. I say intestinal obstruction instead.

liznboys- Good choice.

IMO, I think "definitely" is the most misspelled word in the English language. I think 95% of the time I see someone spelling it wrong.

It's definitely definitely. And I use it often.

I have the most problems with Definitely, probably and again....

I am aware of it and I am working on it big time. I always spell again, agian... I don't know why. There are others but I can't figure out how to spell them right to put them on here and I am too lazy to check out the dictonary (which is probably one of the words!!!)

Renaissance. Spell checker had to replace the misspelled version just then.

For me it's the word for the #90... ninty or ninety, ok I'm pretty sure it's the second one.

Anyway when I writing a check and get confused, I usually kind of scribble it so they won't know if I've spelled it wrong or not.

Ocassion, occassion, occasion? I just pick one and hope that I'm right. :)

Definitely always makes me stop and think and up until about 6 months ago beautiful for always gave me trouble.
Until I saw Brue Almighty now I always think of him saying B-E-A-utiful!
So that better be right or it is forever imprinted in my brain incorrectly! I am an recent elementary education grad with my Masters and my spelling is TERRIBLE! But I am a god model for my students on "why to use a dictionary".

Mine is cemetery. I work at a church and it is the most troubling word for me. I also do our church bulletin and the biggest mistake I made was "the choir will be up in the choir sinning." Only 1 person called me on it and he sang in the choir for 60 years. He was mad.
