Hi !!!

My family will be staying at POP for 3 days in Sept. We are not doing parks this trip, and we are headed to Vero after POP. I am SOOOOOOOO excited to be going to POP! We will be spending a good deal of time at the resort, so tell me what we will love and what we can't miss! What are your favorite things abut POP?

Well, I've not been there yet myself but we will be staying there in a few weeks :cool1: We're planning on spending plenty most of our time at the parks though ... hope you have fun chilling at the resort - it's supposed to be full of well-themed fun! :thumbsup2

Walk along Hourglass Lake. Take a walking tour around the resort. It's fun to see all the large icons. I think there's actually an outdoor twister game in the 60's or 70's section somewhere. There's a ping pong table near the Hippy Dippy Pool. I know during the summer they had a day where they would teach you how to make towel animals.

I am a deluxe guy, but had the pleasure of staying at Pop in June. I didn't have to share space with a niece or nephew or sleep on a pullout sofa...maybe that was it. Pop has the Disney Magic.

Have a good time.

If it's a warm day, get in your bathing suits, POP has a fun little water area with squirting fountains coming out of the ground. Our DS loved running through them. The pool is quite nice too. POP is also a great place to take tons of pictures. Where else can you get a picture of yourself next to a 20 foot high foosball game. :rotfl: They have some of the pop icons lit up really nice too, so be sure to take a lot of nighttime pictures.

Thanks for the tip about nighttime pictures! That will look great in my scrapbook!:thumbsup2

I can't imagine staying on Disney property for three days and not going to a park. We have stayed at POP twice and would go back but I could not 'hang out' there for three days. Go to DTD, the Boardwalk and/or a water park or visit some other resorts.

That said, while at POP go to the bridge and see the turtles. (You might even want to bring something to feed them.)

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

There's a permanent Twister game in the 70's area, not too far from the Big Wheel. My dd's love playing that. Our favorite part about Pop is the dedicated buses, but since you're not doing parks, I guess that wouldn't matter. It would probably still get you to DTD quicker though. We've stayed there twice, but we never have much time to hang out at the resort. The kids did swim late one night in the main pool and had a good time. We've never visited the other pools.

I figure we will actually have about 1.5 days total to "hang out" at POP. The first day we will arrive around 11 am. The second day we are going to Kennedy space center. The third day we will be hanging out with friends who will be staying there too, then it's off to Vero the next day! The twister game sounds fun(and painful). We are kinda playing with the idea of going to watch wishes one night from the beach at Poly. I wonder if you can see it well from there?
