Here is to 33 years of keeping Lord Stanley's cup where it belongs, in the US. I'll be excited to follow the Olympics this year and hope my hometown squad, Minnesota Wild, have a better showing come April.

Ed Giacomin. Long time NY Ranger shockingly traded to the Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings visited Madison Square Garden very soon after and the New York fans cheered for the Red Wings and booed the Rangers.




Bernie Parent. He probably had the best two back to back seasons of any goaltender ever. The infamous “Fog Game” in the 1975 Stanley Cup Finals in Buffalo.

Apparently an announcer on the Wild Card broadcast just stated that he wasn't gonna watch ESPN's NHL coverage.

Gary Bettman may wanna think hard about his ESPN deal...
