What weird things do your pets do?

I have a cat that attacks washcloths, not towels just washcloths!:rotfl2:

My former cat "Sassy" would just fall over and go to sleep anywhere! most cats take a few minutes to get comfortable, not her. Sadly, she died and out of all the cats I have had, she had soooo much personality! I really do miss her!

These are all just adorable...especially the cat that loves to be sung to by her mom. Just adorable!

Our golden retriever has a few stuffed animals and he either lays down and kind of sucks on them or he uses them as pillows.
My rottie girl Amber does this! She has a stuffed puppy that is her favorite because his muzzle is the perfect size for her mouth. She'll lay down, wrap her paws around him and gently mouth the toy. It's hysterical. She'll also do this with the blanket in her crate. Wad a piece up just so, then start sucking on it. Of course I'll also occasionally find one of my son's stuffed animals that looks suspiciously sucked on so she doesn't limit herself to just her own toys :lmao:.

Amber is a rescue & she came to us with a whole suitcase full of issues that were never addressed but she's turned into SUCH a nice dog and is even goofier than my last rottie. She is crazy for towel rubs and will root through the (clean) laundry basket to find one to rub on if we don't get them put away immediately. She will also do tricks for lettuce and cabbage stalks. She comes running whenever she hears me open the produce drawer.

When my son was born she would steal his onesies and hide them in her crate. She didn't do anything with them, just sleep on them. We had to start doing nightly crate raids :rotfl:.

Our cat Gremmie is a tiny thing (7 lbs) and she rules the house, as cats will do. She does the drinks with her paw thing and she also loves water. When we used to get water in our basement she used to go and sit in the puddle. Then, of course, she'd come upstairs and park her wet behind in your lap :rotfl:.

And, of course, cats being cats she will go and curl up in Amber's crate just to make her crazy. Amber won't push her out. 75 lbs of rottweiler will come crying to me to tip out 7 lbs of cat.

Our Bengal cat has a thing for snap bracelets - She'll chase after them and bring them back for them to be thrown again! Sometimes she just carries them around in her mouth.

And our elderly kitty loves to be spanked. When she was fat and healthy you could hit her pretty dang hard on the butt and she'd only yowl when you stopped because she wanted some more! (Wierd S&M kitty). These days she is old and sknny but she still likes it!

She also drinks out of the toilet - when she hears a flush she comes running!

My parent's cats love to play fetch with the rings from the plastic milk bottles (the small part under the cap that "attaches" the cap to the bottle). It is the funniest thing to watch a cat play fetch.

Our one dog ALWAYS has to pick something up when we come home or in the room. And she shakes her back really hard.

That same dog is OBSESSED with tissues. If you blow your nose she is on you like white on rice and she will not give up until she gets a tissue.

Our young rooster flew up onto my head yesterday.

Last week he ran across the counter, through the simmering pan of meat sauce on the stove, leaving a trail of meat sauce footprints. No, he didn't get burned.

This morning he tried to crow for the first time - at first I couldn't figured out what that freaky noise was!

Silly bird!

Jet, the lab will always lay on floor by you when you are eating - waiting for leftovers. Both of the dogs come running the minute you pull a block of cheese out of the refridgerator. Jet is a trained duck/goose retriever so if you say either of those words, or "rabbit" she goes nuts! She has two decoys that we throw for her sometimes and she will bring both back at the same time just so Zelda (the shepherd) can't have one.

It took a long time for me to get Zelda to retrieve anything because Jet would always get there first. So Zelda would just sit there and look at me like "really? you know Jet will get for you". I finally had to start taking her out by herself to see if she'd do it. She did it perfectly the first time - probably all of that watching her buddy do it. Now I have them trained so that we alternate - on has to sit and stay while the other goes and fetches. But I have to use kong frisbees - Jet has a cow if Zelda touches her ducky!

Jet also has to lay on top of shoes most of the time. She will find where ever we have left our tennis shoes and thats where she lays down. She also has a favorite recliner that she crawls up on and sleeps... she snores worse that DH too!

My dachshund LOVES to sleep under the blankets. He is doing it now, haha.

Erhm.. if he wants a goodie, he will bounce around our legs, hitting our legs with his nose and his paws until he gets one.
When we talk, he turns his head. I am afraid he will twist his head all the way around!!

We have a goose who lives in the lake in the backyard, and the dachshund and my cairn terrier will go out EVERY DAY and bark at him and the ducks. You would think, after 6 years of living here, they would realize that they mean no harm.

We have 5 cats, one watches TV and another likes to sleep under blankets, but the funniest thing is none of them will eat food my husband puts out for them. He wakes up before me in the morning, but as soon as my feet hit the floor I have 5 cats crying at me to feed them. When I get to the kitchen, even if there is food there, I have to top it off for them to eat...

My bunny makes these cute little whining noises in his throat when he's falling asleep. As he dozes off, his nose gets lower and lower to the ground until it hits and he pops his head up and says, "I wasn't sleeping..me? No... I'm wide awake!"

So many adorable stories!!

I once had a Bichon who loved 2-liter soda bottles. Once the soda was gone, we'd take the label off and screw the cap on really tight. By this time Penny would be going out of her mind with anticipation. Then we'd throw it down and she was off - chasing this huge, bottle around trying to get her mouth around it. :lmao: She'd eventually get it into a corner where she'd just keep pouncing on it trying to bite it. When she got tired (exhausted), she'd grab the bottle by the cap and take it somewhere "safe" to snuggle with it.

My first cat, Stanley, loved my DS so much. He'd sit outside the bathroom door just staring at it until DS would come out. DS had to push his pillow to one side of his bed so that Stan could lay right next to DS's head - every night.

My cat now, Bear, loves to play in his water bowl and get the kitchen floor soaked. He figured out how to drink from the bathroom spigot and, for a while, that was the only way he'd drink. I'd have to turn it on just so that it trickles out. He'd turn his head and drink til you'd think he would puke.

Bear's latest obsession is the humidifier. He'll sit there and sit there (I really do believe that he was up all night the first night I had it on - he looked pretty darned tired the next morning) and wait for the bubbles in the resevoir. Then he jumps up and tries to "catch" them. :rotfl:

My mini-rex bunny is a kleptomaniac. He thinks anything within reach is fair game and takes it to his cage for safekeeping. I have found many interesting things in his nest, among the more notable ones are my car keys, a spatula, my brother's report card and a can of cream corn :confused3 I have no idea how he managed that one, it's almost as big/heavy as he is!

My youngest daughter will get down on all 4s with the cat, and they "walk" together cheek to cheek. They only do it in the morning, right after they wake up... Its a really cute, but rather strange! lol

He also goes nuts if he hears you ball up a piece of paper. If you throw it in the little garbage, he will go in there and get it out, bring it over to you, and "ask" you to throw it and play fetch with him.

Ah cats they come up to you all purrs and cuteness climb on you lap shove they derrier's in your face and prompty blow your head of by gassing you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My three Socks big black and white wuss puss who is scared of practically everything (these laser light toys cats are supposed to like especially) once when Socks was younger he tried to jump on the top of the sitting room door, unfortunatly for him it was shut and he looked just like something out a tom and jerry cartoon! Tippy a little black cleptomaniac with a preference for ladies underwear, and a determination to climb everything. Queenie a tabby cat who loves laps (especially if she catches you on the toilet, not the best place to be caught) and thumping Socks.

One cat:
Licks plastic bags.
Licks water out of the tub.
Meows at you after you get out of the shower, regardless of the time of day.

Another cat:
Randomly swipes at people when they walk by.
Scratches and unrolls toilet paper.

Third cat:
"Kills" a stuff zebra and leaves it on our bed.

We had a Yorkie that would not eat out of a bowl, had to be a dish. She'd just sit there and stare at it and bark. Would drink water from a bowl though.

My English bull terrier is just silly all around. She chases a laser light like crazy, No matter where we go in the house she has to sit next to me, even in my computer chair.

The most funny thing I think though, is when we let her outside to go to the bathroom she will start at the end of the room away from the door and hunker down with her butt up in the air, tail waggin and pretend to take off like 3 times before she finally charges to the door. Shes so silly!

Love the stories!

Our 18 year old cat will come and find us and meow at the bathroom door until he is fed whether anyone is in there or not, starting a around 9. If we feed him before 9:30 he gets kitty Alzheimers, forgets he ate and kicks the cycle off again. Same cat meows the word "Help" when he is done eating in his room and wants to be let out, it is so human like that we warn our kids' friends when they sleepover.

We had a hamster that KNEW that if he could wedge his hamster ball into a corner he could get the leverage to push up on the opening, work it open & escape. He looked like a little atlas pushing up on a reverse world. He was also able to get out of every single kind of cage we could buy, amazing animal who is long gone now. Sad but not surprised.

If there is a pillow available our dog will lay his head on it and stretch out like a human.

We have a 4 year old sheltie, Scarlett, and she has a few weirdo things she does. We cannot say the work "walk" at all around her (yes, we spell it out) because she go nuts and runs to the front door, barks obnoxiously and twirls in circles. If you ignore her long enough she sits down in a huff and guards the door for a while.

My sheltie was that way if she heard "car". She loved to ride in the car!
