:) Now I know this is early But.....
There has been some talk on here about when people are going in Nov or Dec and due to wondering if it would be better to go in Nov or early Dec I thought I would see what others are thinking also.
We were concerned that people who usually go in Nov may hold off until the first week in Dec due to it not being Value season in Nov anymore.
We are struggling with gonig the week before Thanksgiving (loved this time last year) or the first week in Dec.
We LOVE the lower crowds so that is our main concern.
So..... when are you planning to go? :)

We are going Nov.5-12. DS has 2 days off school that week so he will only miss 3 days. Wish I could go after Thanksgiving and see all the decorations.

We are going Nov. 27 - Dec. 4 primarily because of value season rates, and hopefully lower crowds.

We're staying onsite from Thanksgiving until December 7th. That's fourteen days. I'm going to have a stroke planning this amount of time. First time onsite! :dancer:

We will be at WDW from December 3 - 10 for the same reasons (and also because DH would never agree to go to hot and humid Florida in the warmer months!!!)

We will be there 11/21, 11/22, 12/1, 12/2 and 12/3. In between, we will be cruising on Wonder. We will be visiting only one park during that time, and that will be Epcot, most likely on 12/2 (hopefully we'll be able to see the Candlelight Processional). This trip is our "just get away and relax" and "have Thanksgiving Dinner WITHOUT the family for a change" trip. We're considering the AKL for the first two nights, and WL for the three nights in December, just because we've always wanted to try both places. I'll be booking my rooms within the next week (booking the airfare first, probably tomorrow or the next day).

I've been down twice during this time period and found the crowds doable (especially the Sunday after Thanksgiving). During the week the parks were not too crowded, but on Saturday's the Magic Kingdom is packed. Make sure to pack both warmer and cooler weather clothing.

Also, be aware that the weather is different during this time of year too. When I went in 2002, they had a cold snap. Now being from New England, I knew to take some warmer clothes (sweatshirt, pants, gloves, hat, etc.), as well as t-shirts & shorts. I was there 10 days. Had 2 days were I was in a t-shirt & shorts and swam in the pool. Had a few days where it was cool and rainy, then there were some mornings and evenings that it was down right nippy! I could tell those who did not pack well or were not from up North. They were the one's at the TTC waiting for the monorail in a t-shirt and shorts freezing, then running into the park and plunking down some serious $$ to buy warmer clothes.

In 2003, the weather was warmer, but still found myself wearing a sweatshirt and pants in the early am and evening and switching to short sleeved shirts and shorts in the afternoon.

Another great plus going after Thanksgiving is that all the decorations are up (make sure to take time and visit the deluxe resorts), as well as the showing of the Candlelight Processional (this is a must-do, and a dinner package is great). I did MVMCP once a few years ago and would not do it again. The park was packed, had to stand on my tip toes to see one of the shows and I only got on one ride. I'd recommend viewing the fireworks either from the California Grill at the Contemporary or on the beach of the Polynesian.

We'll be at the Polynesian Dec. 3-10 also. Our 1st family visit was the 1st week of Dec. 2001 at CBR, 2nd visit was Oct. 2003 at the Poly - this trip we're combining the best of both. Low crowds, warm/mild weather, and the decorations of Dec., and the convenience and beauty of the Polynesian.

See you at the Poly

We will be at Shades of Green from November 6-10, then cruising on the Wonder till the 13th. Can't wait!

We usually go the first week of December at BWV but we bought new AP's last year and they expire on 12/04/05. So we're going 11/26 to 12/2 this year. Keep in mind Pop Warner is 12/4 to 12/10 if you are going to stay at a value or moderate.

We are still trying to decide between the week of Nov 13th or December 4th. I've checked previous recordings of the weather during these weeks and there is a slight difference. I'm torn between the lower rates of value season and the chance of an extra degree in temperature!!!

December 18th-26th. I know, not the best time to go, but it's for my 40th birthday and my birthday is December 23rd.

I'm starting to think that the first week in Dec is going to be more crowded than we thought :confused3

I think it isn't going to be as empty as it was before in years past. However, I doubt highly that it will be anywhere near as crowded as peak or even regular season times. Keep in mind that most people visit family at Thanksgiving and then just a few weeks later at Christmas, so the week after Thanksgiving isn't a popular time for travel anywhere, as most people are traveling during Thanksgiving week.

I do think that the constant promotions on tv are going to increase visitors to the parks this year for sure. Of course it would happen this way. I decide on a WDW trip and THEN they start splashing it around everywhere.

I think boards like this one and allears and mousesavers are fantastic for planning, but I do think that travelers are getting a bit more savvy.
So I'm nervous about crowds, but then I recall being there (albeit in 1995) in June during one of the most crowded weeks and I don't recall trouble with crowds. (Then again, we had a handicapped child in our group and we were ushered to the front of the lines, but for the first day or so we didn't know this and we waited in lines and it wasn't so bad.)

Maybe it will be filled with just DISers. ;)

Well at looks like I don't have much to worry as far as crowds right now.

We are going Nov. 19-25. (Saturday-Friday) I expect Thursday (Thanksgiving) to get really busy. But I will be okay with that since we will have had Sat-Wed with less crowds.

Although I am going to miss shopping on Black Friday! I love it! But shopping or Disney....such a hard choice NOT!!

We are staying at POP! I am hoping it is warm enough to swim. But I would be happy in capris and a fleece jacket LOL!

:cool1: 8 months and 18 days from this moment! :cool1:

We are going 11/27-12/4. That is the week our family has choosen to be the best, it will be my 4th time during that week!
