I must have seen the same one! While he sounded like Peter, it was very creepy. My mom saw the picture after I had taken it and is a bit creeped out by it. It was an all around creepy experience. I said creepy three times, but if it's the same Peter, you'd understand.![]()
I was starting to get really peeved, as DS3 was crying, I have 2 other kids standing there, and I have some ape running off with an autograph book.
In January at 1900 Park Faire, Mary Poppins had a bit of an attitude with me. DH was taking a picture of me with her and she pushed my shoulders back and said "sit up straight it looks much better" to me. I was a little taken aback, and at a loss for words.
Ok my turn-mine wasn't really a character issue but a location issue-we were hunting for the Beast-the time guide said France-ok we found the big glove sign a started waiting along with about 10 other people. Finally we all started nosing around only to find out the the character greeting sign was apparently for looks only the were by the lake, so now we all move down to the end of the line only to have them leave for a "short" break. They were great once they finally came back but we spent well over an hour on this little quest. On a side note-all Belle's are not created equal-this one, although perfectly in character, had to be about 40.
I am surprised no one has mentioned the male Alice. We met him/her this year and that was tough to explain. DD had ridden the Tea Cups with a femail Alice the day before and then we saw the male one. DD wanted to go say hi to Alice again, so we did. The look on DD's face was priceless, she knew something was not right!! She still spoke to Alice and had her photo, but afterwards she asked what was wrong with Alice today. I answered she must be tired sweetie, everyone looks a little different when they are tired. Thank goodness she fell for it!!

Here are photos of him/her. The first is not very flattering, but you can see the male features.

We took our daughter to WDW for the first time last November. She fears NOTHING so I wasn't all that worried with her meeting the characters. We met the fab 5, most princesses, the fairies, etc etc. Made our way over to Rafiki's planet watch and met Jiminy and Pocohantas without a problem. Typically she would bolt into their arms and give the biggest hug ever. Until we met Rafiki...

For some reason she did NOT like him. Lion King is one of her favorites and she just can't bring herself to like him. We will be back in two weeks and I asked her last night if she wanted to meet him and she said NO!
I don't mean to start any arguments or cause any controversy, but you might want to think about how you would feel if someone questioned your femininity over the way you looked. Not all women look as feminine as others, not to mention there are lots of male-to-female transgender people who deserve the same respect and kindness as any other person.
Can you imagine how hurt this girl's feelings might be if they saw you calling them a "he/she" and questioning her gender identity?
And if that is in fact a male (which I honestly doubt) and not a woman/transwoman I would be very surprised. What are the chances of Disney hiring a boy to be such a public figure?

Totally agree, that is not nice. The first pic may be unflattering but you can plainly tell in the second that it is a girl. Disney would never hire a male to play Alice, that is ridiculous. I am friends with a few characters and I know they would be upset to read something like this about themselves.![]()
i agree.
maybe the reason the daughter thought something was wrong with alice is because she looked different from the first one she'd met. i know that we've met princesses before who look nothing like the princess we've already met during our trip. we even have two very different belle signatures in one of our autograph books (both from the same trip).
I can say with all certainty from speaking with Alice and seeing him that it was a male Alice. There is no question in my mind.
I was traumatized by Tigger once many years ago at DHS. DH and I were just walking along, when suddenly I felt this big "tap" behind me...it was Tigger bouncing along and tapping my shoulders! I totally wasn't paying attenion and about had a heart attack. DH, who loves Tigger, thought it was hilarious.
Unfortunately you are incorrect - I have seen her personally backstage and she is quite female (not transgender). Her natural hair color is not blonde and I agree it is unflattering, but in her natural form she is very beautiful.
However, Disney does have a responsibility to uphold the characters in their movie form and perhaps this is a situation where this performer should no longer be allowed to perform this character. I feel quite strongly about character integrity and am saddened whenever a character is unable to deliver magic for our guests.
