What was your pregnancy craving??

Hot mustard. I would have drunk the stuff if I could.

With DD - Taquitos from a local food place down the street. I still like them now but only have them once is a while. But when I was pregnant, it was at least once a week (or more if I could get DH to go them for me).

With DS - Oranges. Ate at least one a day.

I craved fountain pop and milk. Dr. told me to lay off of both because of the sodium content...I was swelling. Who knew milk made you retain water if you drink enough of it ;)

Green Olives in the jar and the juice they came in. Cheeseburgers with bacon. I don't eat that at all but I sure did when I was pregnant.

With my second it was egg sandwiches with bacon and melted swiss covered in ketchup. All gross to me now. :rotfl:

Guess it's what the body and baby wanted!

W/ DD, I craved Krystal hamburgers - prior to being pregnant, I HATED Krystal hamburgers.

W/ both boys, I craved fruit (especially pineapple) & ice cream.

W/ older DS, it was just a sometimes craving, & I ate other foods.

However, w/ younger DS, I craved fruit & ice cream all the time - ice cream & fruit were literally the ONLY things I ever wanted to eat.

I never had morning sickness w/ any of my pregnancies, but w/ younger DS I had very little appetite, was never very hungry, & the only things that sounded good to me were fruit & ice cream. Cold, cold pineapple & Moose Tracks ice cream... that was my diet!

DD5- Kraft macaroni and cheese with lots of salt, Chef Boyardee, and cooked tomatoes (Iike on a pizza).

DD1- tomato soup

I had horrible morning sickness with both. Even if someone just mentioned peanut butter, I ran to the bathroom (I normally love it and will still eat it straight from the jar lol). I also could not stand the smell of cooking chicken, cooking noodle soup, or bread toasting.

Why did your Dr. tell you no ice cream from fast food places

My dr is an nutter. They told me no soft serve, no milkshakes, no deli meat, no soft cheese all due to listeria. They also told me no peanut butter because it could cause allergies. They told me to limit meat to 3 times a week to reduce varicose veins. I later found out that my dr is vegan. I think some of the rules I was given were personal preferences of the doc. I have eaten peanut butter.

I was told tuna no more than once a week. No sushi. Limit fish because of mercury. No pre packaged salad due to risk of bacteria.

You poor girl, that doesn't leave you much to eat LOL. I would try a different dr.

1st pregnancy. Peaches or nectarines
2nd pregnancy. Skittles
3rd time. Lemonade and salt bagels.

With the girls, I craved Taco Bell bean burritos, no onions, extra red sauce.

Also, with DD2, the egg rolls from Chili's. And there used to be these extra something pickles from Vlasic. I can't remember what they were called, but I needed those things bad. Only place I could find them was the 7-11 next door to my apartment building...I'd buy them out every week!

With DS, Dingdongs. I hate the things, but that is all I wanted for 3 months.

I was all about onion rings both times I was pregnant. Practically from conception. I stopped craving them about three weeks after each pregnancy ended (the first one I was full term, but the second ended at 16 weeks). I hate onions. Now I get nervous when they look good to me. :rotfl2:

With my first two (girls) I had no cravings, just aversions. I could not go into the grocery store by the meat counter or I would barf.:crazy2: Couldn't stand to see raw meat. I remember being so hungry for a pork roast and dh cooked one and I couldn't eat it. I had a hard time with meats for the girls.

With my son I absolutely craved steak. My DH was in hog heaven. We had steak at least 2 times a week. That was the only thing I ever wanted or was good to me. Thank goodness it was a reasonable 3.99/# unlike today:faint:

With ODD, it was mandarin oranges the first few months, MCDs cheeseburgers and towards the end Slurpees. She was both in July and it was hot. Couldn't stand anything with sauce like pasta or sweets. The latter sucked since It was around Christmas.

With YDD, salt and vinegar chips and again MCD cheeseburgers. Oh and Coke. Oddly, I had a tea adversion my whole pregnancy and I am a tea drinker.

I was pregnant in the summer with DD#1, and I craved watermelon and lime popsicles. (She craved orange popsicles during her summer pregnancy!) I also HAD to have a Royal Burger (local burger joint's equivalent of a Big Mac) every day. I sent my youngest sister and her boyfriend to get them. I gained a ton.

With DD#2, a winter pregnancy, I craved cole slaw and tomato juice, together, with the occasional frosted chocolate cake donut thrown in. I gained another ton. I tell people that my extra weight is from my last baby; they don't have to know she's 40 years old!

skinless charcoal grilled beef hotdogs and dijon spicey mustard on a white hotdog bun.

Guacamole no matter what time of the day, and ice. All my drinks had to be in a tall cup filled with ice.

I didn't crave just one thing with DD, but had many cravings throughout my pregnancy. I had hyperemesis and was sick from day one until the day I had her. So when I craved something, I indulged!

Cravings started with milk. I've never been a big milk drinker but I had a short stretch of milk. Then it was ice creams bars. Sat one night and ate a whole box. Then root beer and root beer floats. I could not get enough root beer at that point. Had about a week of sausage mcmuffins from McDonald's. Then giant deli dill pickles. I'd go to this store by my work and get 4 huge pickles and eat them all in one sitting. And it ended with frozen Cokes. So yeah, I was all over the board..lol
