What was your high schools mascot/team names?

Ours was awful!!

We're were the Huntington Beach Oilers. Colors: Black & Orange! Our mascot was called Bardahl and basically looked like the tin man from Wizard of OZ!

Oh, and our football team was the worst. We were known for our surfing!!!

I just Googled Bardahl and found out it's an oil brand! LOL

Needless to say, every Homecoming a particular rubber item was blown up like a balloon and scattered through the hallways and floated in bathroom toilets.

I never did either. What exactly is a Raider? Nobody could every explain it in high school.

Our mascot was some sort of mountain lion. How does a mountain lion relate to a Raider?

Man, they have me heck about this in college but we were the Fighting Sandcrabs.......class of '84. I haven't ever seen this one anywhere else either.

Nope, Calhoun High School in Port Lavaca, Texas. You mean to tell me there are other Sandcrabs in this world???

Talk about a football team stinking.....our football team won 1 game the entire 4 years I was in high school. Good thing our band was awesome. Now this past year, our guys won 9 games straight. You wouldn't believe how crazy the entire county got! We were actually Area Champions this year!

Now our junior high (yes, there is only one) mascot is the Travis Fighting Fiddlers.....they're just smaller crabs.

DH never ever lets me live that down, I did it to get out of marching band, I play the piano and you obviously can't march with the piano, so they wanted to throw my on the cymbals. He teases me that he doesn't know which story is worse, being the mascot or being in band (no flames, he's joking)

Here is a picture of the Chemic Logo.

Our colors were Blue and Gold. We pretty much copied the University of Michigan, especially their band uniforms. Our one slogan was and is still "Chemic Pride: A Very Special Tradition."

Our cross town rivals were the Chargers, though us Chemics usually referred to them as "Wods" or "Dough Boys." "Wods" is Dow (the name of their school) spelled backwards. And I have no idea where the "Dough Boys" came from. It made for some interesting pep rallies right before the game between the two schools.

they built a new high school halfway thru my 4 years, so i went to 2 "different" schools, but it was still called the same school.

anyway for the first two years we were Powercats.....which i LOVED. colors were Red and Gray

and then the second two years we were the Wolverines(sp??) which sounds cool....but the actual "mascot" looked like a beaver with a stripe down it's back. the colors for that were Blue and Gold which i hated because i had been blue and gold at EVERY school i went to before high school, so i was thrilled to get different colors....only to go back to the same darn colors. and it wasn't even really "blue and gold" it was navy blue and mustard.
