What was your high schools mascot/team names?

Nope, Calhoun High School in Port Lavaca, Texas. You mean to tell me there are other Sandcrabs in this world???

Talk about a football team stinking.....our football team won 1 game the entire 4 years I was in high school. Good thing our band was awesome. Now this past year, our guys won 9 games straight. You wouldn't believe how crazy the entire county got! We were actually Area Champions this year!

Now our junior high (yes, there is only one) mascot is the Travis Fighting Fiddlers.....they're just smaller crabs.

Yep Seabreeze high in Daytona, they are the fighting Sandcrabs. I guess being on the beach in Daytona it kind of makes sense, still a little strange.

We were the Reggies, which was actually someones name (don't remember who), but we didn't have a mascot for awhile. Then someone decided our mascot should be a black bear. So there ya go.

As for me, at my HS we were the Cavos, short for Cavaliers. I don't recall having a mascot.

Charlie Buffalo - we even had a theme song. I'm sure they don't use it now, because it was really square. I'm a Buffalo from the zoo. My ma was a buffalo, my pa was too. So, I'm a buffalo - moo, moo.

1920's we were the crickets? then a guy got kiled playing football ( no helmets) and the disbanded the teams. then 1970 they brought football back and we became the Newcastle Racers

1970 - bout 1990, we had a kid driving around in a blue and white indy go cart.

now, yes, we have rednecks with real racecars at all football games...

just think what a full size dragster does to a football field...

Good grief....the full name of our high school is/was: Sayreville War Memorial High School. And yes, we were "the Bombers".

Doesn't sound so funny these days though, does it?




My DH's mascot was called the "Green Wave". It basically looks like a grean flame type of thing. lol
