I took terrible care of it, no oil changes or anything and it just kept running!

This was in 1987. My fil gave us money after we married. His friend was a car salesman. He told us this saleman would hook us up with something good. Yeah. An 11 year old Volare for $1000. My fil was so mad.

1985 Mustang Gt convertable that I bought used in 1987. I saw it for sale recently on EBay motors 2 months ago and it still looks great. I sold it 10 years ago and still kind of miss it. I didn't have the money to buy it from the Ebay seller and he damn near wanted about what I paid for it in 1987.

We got it used in 2003 for an amazing price and it had less than 20,000 miles on it. It is a great little car!

The same thing I had, but mine was dead on the side of the house. My parents said that if I could get it running I could use it. Spent 2 weeks after school to make it a good running car. A year later, I was told that I need to get my own car because my little sister was getting the Pinto. So I got a new 1978 Mustang. The Pinto lasted less than a week after DS got it.

1978 Firebird Trans Am. 8 cyl, 6.6 liter engine. I LOVED that car.

I got out of so many tickets! The cops would pull me over, see a 16 year old girl sitting on a pillow to see over the dash, and give me a lecture on how I was driving a fast car and I probably didn't realise how fast I was going, so be careful!

Yeah, I knew, I liked the speed!

The first car that I owned alone was a 1974 AMC Hornet in three shades of periwinkle and only three working doors.

The first car that was mine that my dad gave me was a 1977 Olds Delta 88.

Keep in mind I was born in 1977!

An '87 Cavalier that we bought in '91. It was a rusty car that didn't run all that well, but it was mine and I was happy to have it. : ) We named the car Old Blue and kept it for longer than we thought we would.

A 1968 Chevy Nova (this was in 1982). It had 40,000 miles on it, and was owned by a little old lady who only drove it to the supermarket. Unfortunately, since it had never been driven over 40 mph, once I actually DROVE it, the engine was pretty messed up! Took a lot of time and money to make it actually run. And then I ran it into a telephone pole, just when it actually worked!
