I forgot to mention that I also used to purchase pre-recorded reel-to-reel tapes instead of albums. I own a copy of CNSY's 4 Way Street on tape. It wasn't until many years later that I bought a vinyl version. I think I have it on CD too. Please don't tell Sue. For some reason she gets upset when I buy the same movie or album over and over again each time the format changes. At least I don't own any 8-tracks.

I had a Shaun Cassidy album, but I think the first one I bought myself was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Damn the Torpedoes.

I have my turntable (Garrard Zero 100) hooked up to my computer so I can convert albums to CD's. So far I've only done this with a couple albums for myself. I did manage to resurrect a Big Daddy Don Garlits album for a friend, complete with pop and click removal.
