What was your first album?

Crosby Stills Nash and Young's 4way street and Dylans Blood on the Tracks

I forgot to mention that I also used to purchase pre-recorded reel-to-reel tapes instead of albums. I own a copy of CNSY's 4 Way Street on tape. It wasn't until many years later that I bought a vinyl version. I think I have it on CD too. Please don't tell Sue. For some reason she gets upset when I buy the same movie or album over and over again each time the format changes. At least I don't own any 8-tracks. :)

I'm pretty sure that it was the soundtrack to "Grease". I think I was in the 4th grade.

I had a Shaun Cassidy album, but I think the first one I bought myself was Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Damn the Torpedoes.

don't remember first one I bought, but I remember someone giving me Glass Houses by Billy Joel...
Memorized one side of the album, never played the other...

Michael Jackson's Thriller. Still have it. I don't think I have anything to play it on though.

LOL me too...

I have my turntable (Garrard Zero 100) hooked up to my computer so I can convert albums to CD's. So far I've only done this with a couple albums for myself. I did manage to resurrect a Big Daddy Don Garlits album for a friend, complete with pop and click removal.

First album was Chicao VIII
second was Tubular Bells

Steve

My first was the red cover. :teeth:

1976 Queen's "Night at the Opera". Still have the album but do not have a turntable to play it on. Love that album. probably drove my parents crazy playing it over and over.

Ready for this one?? It was a Little Anthony and the Imperials album when I was about 13. I musta listened to that one at least a million times on my "hi fi"......boy does that date me or what???

Tapestry by Carol King.
It held the longevity record on the Billboard Album Chart for quite a while until passed by Pink Floyd and "Dark Side Of The Moon"
