What was the first movie you took your kids to see? (Insp. by Preshi)

I remember taking the kids to a drive-in theater to see 101 Dalmations (the original animated version) when they were pretty young. It's possible that our first trip to the movie theater was to see Harry & The Hendersons (starring John Lithgow).

My oldest I remember taking him to see Rescuers Down Under. My other two, I think it was Lion King.

the re-release of the Little Mermaid
she loved it
she is hooked on movies ever since
I think she was 2 1/2 yrs old

Since I was 36 when I had Michael and spent most of my life rolling my eyes at people who brought little kids to the theatre I didn't take the poor kid till he was 5. It was during his one and only trip to New York and it was Anastasia. He slept through 3/4s of it!

The Tigger Movie. he was 3. didnt sit and wanted to play in the aisles. he was fine until another family came in. then he wanted to play.

Older DS it was Grease the movie, he was six months old and sat and watched it all through with his pacifer moving up and down to the music we said...:D

Younger DS went to see North Avenue Irregulars an old old Disney movie when he was about a month old...

I'm not sure what MY first movie was, but the first one I remember was Bambi at a drive-in theater. The best part was the swings they had up by the screen. Dad would push me on them. :)

There was a re-release in the theatres of Snow White when she was like 5yo. It is funny because it was my first movie and probably my mothers and could even I believe have been my grandmothers. I'm not sure when it was released.

Now I am not sure on my twin sons, but when they were around 5 I took them to see The Rocketeer. A really bad idea. The bad guy in that movie has a really scary face. They still remember how badly that movie scared them.

Ah, the swings at the drive-in! We always wanted to play on them soooo badly, but the deal was that if we went to the drive-in wearing our pajamas, my father would carry us in & put us in bed if we fell asleep. If we wore clothes, we had to find our own way to bed. ;) The first drive-in movie I remember seeing was "Godzilla." I still love that movie! Pure corn ball!

Godzilla? I remember when I was in 7th and 8th grade I babysat two boys. The older one watched Godzilla EVERY Saturday morning.

DD#1 was Lion King. She was 2 years old in 1994 on opening day.
DD#2 I'm not that sure--I think it was Hercules, but may have been Toy Story. She was 2.
The first one DS WENT to was "Parent Trap" but he was 2 weeks old at the drive-in. The first one he really went to was "Emperor's New Groove".
Robin M.
PS--WOW notice who made all these movies???;)
