What was a memorable honeymoon activity for you?...not THAT one

My DF and I are doing some tours when we go down in December. One of them that we've seen a lot of good reviews about is the Around the World Segway Tour. You get to ride a Segway around Epcot for around 2 hours and it's only $80 per person. It would definitely give you some good memories of your honeymoon. :goodvibes

We are starting to really think about making different reservations for dining and activities for our honeymoon. What were some really fun and memorable things you guys did to give us some ideas?

We loved San Angel Inn in Mexico at EPCOT. So good and very romantic! We requested to sit right at the water. :) Swimming with the dolphins at the Living Seas was also a highlight and a first for both of us! We loved it! :goodvibes

I have 2 for you....we had dinner at California Grill about 1 hour before the fireworks were scheduled to go off and it was perfect timing. Request a window seat when you check in at the restaurant. The other was that we rented the small speed boats (1 for each of us) at the GF and rode all around the water with GF, CR, WL, and MK as our views. We had so much fun and made it a little race. Have a great time and congrats!

Our absolute most memorable thing was done for us by a secret mouse and was a total surprise. We went to eat lunch at the Coral Reef and while we were waiting we saw a school of fish headed our way and we noticed that there was a diver with the fish. He swam to our table and put up a sign to the window that said congratulations. We could not stop grinning and even on our anniversary last week my DH was talking about how beyond cool that was.

We also had a private tour (although we didn't plan on it that way but we were the only ones who signed up) for the behind the world showcase that was amazing. Our tour guide was the absolute best, and we got to see the space shuttle launch from the China Pavillion!

OMG gradtchr that is so awesome! You had to have been grinning from ear to ear :teeth:

We did the Segway Tour and it was AWESOME! My DH LOVED this!

It was well worth the cost (there are 15% discounts available for AAA, Disney Visa, and I think AP holders). You have to book them as early as possible because there are only 10 people per group, and only 2 groups per day.

I would suggest the earlier tour (8:30 am) because you will be zipping through World Showcase on your Segway before it opens to the public...and that is COOL!

We definitely were. I am surprised I don't have one of those pics on our photobucket account I'll have to see if I can get one up. We did get our pic taken beside the diver. Then they brought us the sign out while we were eating. We almost blew the surprise because we showed up for our reservations a little early because our honeymoon photo shoot ended early and they had this planned out minute wise to a T.

i don't know if you all have been skydiving, but if not up for it completely but think the idea is fun, a few months ago my friend and i did skyventure...

it's a sky diving simulator in orlando, you go through all the basic training, get a suit/helmet/etc, and they have this huge air tunnel that you do it in...it was soooo much fun! i think it's about $30-40, and you can also get pictures/video. like i said, if you've been skydiving it's probably not all that exciting, but if not it's a lot of fun! :cheer2:

Segway tour around Epcot
Parasailing at the Contemporary
Dinner at V&A's (Chef's Table if you can get it)
Dancing in the lobby of the GF, while the orchestra plays

Cheers!

I wanted to get this for DH - do you need to make reservations?

I think that there's one for scuba--even if you're not certified--at the Living Seas
You are talking about the Aqua Seas tour. My husband did it last year, it was my anniversary gift to him and he absolutely adored it. He came out grinning ear to ear. Living Seas was closed at the time, so the kids and I went to Coral Reef for lunch and we did see him and he waved to us  and we waved to him. :wave2: It was fun, I think he wants to do it again
