The Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny symbol originated with the pagan festival of "Eastre." The goddess (Eastre) was worshipped by the Anglo-Saxons through her earthly symbol, the rabbit.

The Germans brought the symbol of the Easter bunny to America but it was widely ignored by other Christians until shortly after the Civil War which was in fact, when Easter itself slowly started to be celebrated in America.

Right now I'm trying to figure out a way to make an egg savoury (or savory as I say it), and sweet. Perhaps a Reece's Peanut butter egg warmed up in the microwave.

Whatever kind my children have not hidden away in their rooms for me to find months later! Well, the chocolate, that would just be stale. The real, dyed eggs they socked away.....another story. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!

I used to like chocolate eggs when I was younger, but now it has to be savoury eggs. I like them in all their forms - fried, boiled, poached, scrambles, omelette, etc...

I like the Epcot Egg picture too.
