What "Trendy" Thing Should End NOW?

-I like low rise jeans too (fit my body type well) but think the super low rise are awful. Especially when the g string/thong hangs out.

-Hate lower back tattoos.

-Hate that their are no clothes for young adults in the work place. Everything is really fuddy duddy (something my mom would wear) or too trendy and completely inappropriate for the office. The stores that do sell appropriate business casual things are way out of my price range.

-Why does everything need a neckline that goes down to your belly button.

-UGG/furry boots. Makes your legs look fat and they are really ugly. Only suitable to wear around the house.

-Long moppy heads on teenage boys. They look like idiots. What happened to nice normal haircuts.

I am only 25 and not a prude at all, but those things drive me nuts.

I think this all the time. I remember hairspraying the backs of my collars to make them stand up straighter...that was a loooooooooong time ago.

heheh...yeah well, most kids think that Abercrombie and American Eagle have 'coined' the 'popped collar'

ahhh...the 80's...

The entire "yo / what up" type of speaking. (written or spoken)

Luckily, where I live & work I'm not exposed to alot of it. However, when I do come across it, it sounds so dumb. Especially in rural areas.

I have to wonder how these people will ever get a good job, or make something of themselves. I'm home on vacation this week, and I am AMAZED at how much it is on daytime TV as I channel surf. (the court shows, the talk shows.....)

All the "rubber bracelets for a cause". The Livestrong bracelet was a great idea, raising money for cancer. But, I see kids at school now that have 10-12 different colored ones for every cause around, and some with just smart aleck phrases. I'm reasonably sure little or no money from them ever went to any charity.

The Goth thing; the few I knew who were into that picked up their clothes just wherever. They might dye some stuff too. I don't know if they were typical though but designer Goth would have been odd.

I never did like pointy toed shoes either. Or should I say that my toes don't. Thank goodness for my clogs!

I've had a blast (partly from the past) reading this thread and I got to learn some things, also. Collar poppin and muffin top, can't wait for DD gets home from work to trot out my new vocabulary. I also would like to see the demise of Reality TV and I'd like to add to the list the predilection to force any small animal into being a fashion accessory by carting it around in a hand, under an arm or in a designer bag. :confused3

Now, this is one I agree with.

I agree. I am too young to wear most of the stuff in the women's department, but too big to wear things from the junior (unless they carry size 15).

JC Penney right now has some supercool things. I kid you not! I bought several items last week and got a ton of clothes that I really like. Worthington has a collection called "Work to Weekend" and it has a lot of potential, the Bisou Bisou and MIXIT collection for misses is nice, and Nicole Miller is designing a collection for them right now as well. For some reason, you can't buy it on line, you have to go to the store. I have always equated Penney's with my mom buying underwear there, but I am very pleased with the things I bought, underwear included. Also, try Macy's. Their INC line has a lot of promise.

Folding your jeans up at the bottom and making your Eastlands shoelaces curl at the end.

Anytime now that one needs to be ending!

Another vote for saggy baggy pants. Oh please won't they go away!

I'm not a big fan of that...but then again I'm the guy that shaved my head one night because I was sick of my hair!

Honestly, I had no idea! You learn something new everyday.

I'm kind of thankful that the whole "vintage" craze is somewhat over. I was so sick of "vintage." It's code for ugly, cheap, tattterd crap.

Women acting like they are on Sex and the City...i loved the show too, but come on....

That's a good one. The Sex and the City and the Desperate Housewife wannabe's have to go.

The overuse of the word entitlement has run its course. P.S. It doesn't make you sound ivy league to regurgitate that one.

Nasty radio talk shows. Dr. Laura, Rush Limabaugh, Howard Stern, Michael Medved, etc. People walk around in angry dazes all day because they listen to these bozos on their commutes, or in the case of Stern, people just accept that porn involving the mentally ******** is morally aceeptable. Dr. Laura posed nude and Rush Limbaugh was a hardcore drug addict; that should have ended their reigns as the moral authorities.

I wish Nike Shox would GO AWAY! Not because I don't like them, but because everyone's got them and I want a pair but they are too expensive...:(

I like long hair on guys but if by moppy heads you mean the bangs over the eyes then I agree. I always want to brush their hair out of their eyes.

women with bare midriffs! As a straight guy you might think I'd find this attractive, but actually it just looks trashy and cheap

clothes for 5 year olds that make them look like cheap hookers. not the kid's fault, though
