Imagine here if a poster was saying "The Symphony, I don't care what some nerd does on his snore stage, I have actually interesting things to do" Very snobby.

Elite athletes work as hard as any other professional in a field, and they deserve you to at least respect their skill even if you are not interested in their sport. In the same way someone may think watching ballet is boring but understands that it is a difficult and demanding skill that the dancer would have sacrificed to develop.

It had also been shown that sports has a positive value on society as a while, both in the promotion of an active lifestyle as well as mental wellbeing as Sports are regularly the only "good news" during a broadcast, teams also create a sense of community for their fans which is also important for good mental health.

Of course not, but a hypothetical question.... ever serve on a jury???? ever been charged with a violation requiring a trial????

You have been charged. You have a defense. The prosecution presents its case and you present your defense. The jury is charged with deciding guilty or not guilty. The results come back, 42 not guilty and 40 guilty. You are declared guilty and sentenced to life spent in the kitchen washing dishes by hand.

I wash all dishes, utensils, pot/pans by hand and have done so for our 45 years of marriage so it wouldn't bother me, but it might just +bother those who use dishwashers.

In a football game (for example), as with many other competitions, the only thing that ultimately matters is points scored.

Statistics such total offensive yards gained and time of possession have nothing to do with who is actually declared the winner. It’s all about points. And both teams are well-aware of that at the start of the game.

If the coaching staff of the losing team is worth their salt, they will use the statistics to their advantage. Not to argue they should have been declared the winner, but rather, to help identify the reason(s) why they didn’t win the game in an effort to produce a more favorable outcome the next time they play.
