We are leaving in just 9 days for Florida! We are visiting friends in Ft.Lauderdale before driving up to Orlando for the week. Anyway, as for my question. A friend told us that UO/IOA does not let you take ANYTHING on the rides. When we visit Disney, we always take a backpack with a few drinks and ponchos-is this allowed in UO/IOA? Will they make us use a locker and not let us take any on the rides with us? TIA!

There are lockers at most of the rides where you can't carry items. They are free for the first 30 min or hour I think. I've never kept anything in them long enough to pay. It's actually very convenient than trying to hold on to them.

MIB has the pouches in front of the seats where you can store items.

There are a few rides that are strict about bags. Mummy, Men in Black and Hulk come to mind. Each has storage lockers that are easy to use and accessible to the rides.

MIB got rid of those several months ago. No bags on MIB except small fannypacks. Lockers are free from 30 min.through 2 hours depending on how long the queue is.

Hulk is the strictest about bags. They allow no bags at all, not even fanny packs. Dueling Dragons, MIB, and the Mummy allow you to take small fanny packs on board. Anything larger needs to go into a locker. The ride attendant will tell you if your fanny pack is too big.
