What to take for Rollercoaster motion issues

I take a daytime Dramamine when I am about 30 minutes out (I drive over) so it's taken effect by the time I park & enter the parks. I can ride the rides all day no problem as long as it's kicked in (haven't tried Mission Space Orange to be fair). I don't have any side effects from it (I still have a 1.5-2 hour drive home at the end of my day) & have also used it on cruises, boating & other theme park roller coasters.

I buy motion patches from Amazon. They are ginger. It is really strange that you can taste it when you put it behind your ear but they work for me.

I find the best way to prevent roller coaster motion issues is to not go on roller coasters. ;)

Actually, I don't mind roller coasters - they can be as fast as they want, drop from as high as they want, make huge G-force inducing turns, etc. The ONLY thing I can't do is go in circles. Even one circle and I'm at the edge, more than one circle and no one wants to be sitting near or behind me. Even the coasters I find pretty mild like Space Mountain and Big Thunder, each have parts where they sort of 'spiral' down and I get a little nauseated...but can handle those. Any coaster that does loops is out. And by far the worst is a carousel or spinning ride (no Dumbo, teacups, rockets, etc).

I've never been prone to motion sickness - cars, boats, etc don't bother me, nor does speed or drops. My mother was alwayd very sensitive to motion and had trouble on cruises and boats - ironic since she cruised over 200 times including some 40-50 day cruises around continents. She always used ginger, and occasionally in extreme situations dramamine. She rarely ever had issues on her many cruises, other than one where the ship's engines cut out during a hurricane and they spent 8 hours bobbing uncontrollably in 50 foot seas...can't blame motion sickness for that one!

For a non-drug solution, take a look at the "Reliefband Classic" ($130). You wear it like a wristwatch (underside of wrist). I have had very good success with passengers in small airplanes. Not much fun to have a passenger vomit in a small cockpit, so I always carry this with me. At the first sign of trouble, strap it on the passenger and turn it to level 5. The product has been around for over 30 years and it was originally developed for pregnancies.

I would not recommend the more expensive rechargeable version. Too many complaints about the battery life and charger. The "Classic" version uses replaceable CR2025 batteries. Carry extra batteries.

Bonine= generic meclizine from amazon. Super cheap, very effective for my entire family that gets motion sickness from rides, car trips, planes, boats, everything lol. It also works for my random nausea (very sensitive stomach with digestive issues). I won't be without it! It is non drowsy for all of us.
Second the Meclizine. Never had motion sickness until about 5 years ago, now I buy this in bulk and have no issues as long as I remember to take it night before and the morning of.
