thanks much for providing the weather we can expect next month
Question: would it be advantageous to wear long pants vs. shorts during the day so we won't have to worry about changing clothes for night temps? cooler nights, is that 50 degrees, 60 degrees?
We went early February in 2012 and will be going the same time this year. We wore shorts most days and wore a sweat jacket or light jacket for cool mornings/evenings. It is a great time to visit!
I echo the PP. We've done a few trips in early February and are going again this year, 2/3-2/7. The weather has been all over the place. I remember wearing jeans and a fall jacket around at night. For early mornings I would throw the jacket or a heavy sweater on over a dress but I was still chilly. 40s in the morning and evening was the norm one trip.
We usually go that time (13 days to go). I generally wear jeans and a tshirt the entire trip, with a hoodie for mornings and night. Then carry it in a back pack for the few warm hours a day. That being said, I'm usually cold compared to other people.
We're headed there the first week of February. I'm packing a little of everything - jeans, shorts, t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, gloves, etc. The weather is just too unpredictable. Last time I was there in January, we had highs of 40-45F for a couple of days.
We're going to be there January 29-February 4, and I'm planning to bring capris, a pair or two of jeans, and maybe one pair of shorts. I hope there's at least one day the kids can swim!
We're going 1/31-2/7 and I am packing a mix of things. Jeans, t-shirts, dresses, shorts, and sweaters. We are from Wisconsin so I suspect even morning temps will be pretty warm for us.
