We are going on a surprize :ssst: WDW trip leave March 3 return 11 and I have no idea what to pack. Do I pack shorts or pants and short sleeve shorts? I keep hearing that BB and TL are open, is the water cold :cold: and are they crowded? Thanks ahead for any info.

On allearsnet.com in the planning section, you can click on "weather" in the left margin and then go to the link for Historical Florida Weather Patterns. It gives all the averages (highs/lows/rainfall/etc) for each month of the year -- that might help you with the packing list.

I went 3/5-3/12 in 2005 and we had nice weather... I wore capri pants and a t shirt during the day, and I always had a sweatshirt with me for the early mornings and evenings. If we went back to the room before going out again at night I put jeans on. It was in the mid 50s-60s at night, and 70's during the day. But then again, I went in March back in 2001 and they had a cold spell... it was in the 50's during the day! That time of year is iffy... I would plan on bringing atleast jeans, capris and maybe a pair of shorts. T shirts and long sleeved shirts are also probably a good idea. Your best bet is to wait until the week before and confirm the predicted weather.

I live in Central Florida. The best way to come prepared is to bring layers. Days are usually warm in March, but nights can get cool. Capris are always a safe bet. I'd pack short sleeves and a sweater/sweatshirt to wear over top.

As for the pools and water parks. We have PAP and often go to a water park after school. The water temps are usually 74 degrees or warmer. Last year I took our, at the time, infant in the water a few times, because it felt like bath water.

When we travel anytime after Oct through the end of April, to Florida, we always fly in our jeans/sweatshirts/heavier socks. We have layers since the plane itself can be chilly. Then, we each have a pair of shorts/tee shirt/lighter socks in our carryon, so we can change when we get to the resort (even if we aren't able to get into our room). This way we have the heavier clothes with us, but they aren't taking up room in our luggage. Then reverse it going home.
I have found that the nights in WDW can be on the chilly side, so you may want a bit warmer clothes then...long sleeve tees, jeans/capris. Take a sweatshirt with you, and wrap it around you so you have it just in case.
During the day, you should be fine with shorts and short sleeved shirts.
