Our family of 8 (6 children and 2 very exhausted adults!) will returning to the USA after living in Australia for 5 years. As a return home we are planning a big 3 week stay in Orlando during the first 3 weeks of December. I have been pouring over the guide books wanting to have everything perfect.

We went to Disneyland in May 2001 and were prepared to follow the touring plans in guide books and threw them away when we realized that, with the exceptions of weekends, there was hardly anyone in the park. We hardly ever had to wait.

I know DW is far bigger and more popular than DL. What can I REALLY expect in terms of crowds/lines in this time of year?

From what I have read in all the books, the crowds are extremely small during that time. In fact that may be the least crowded time of year to go.

Have a great time!!

DW and I go at that time of the year. It varies in crowds from weekend to weekday. Most weekdays are not crowded at all, but then on the weekends watch out as things pick up to a heavy pace with all of the Christmas Decorations and all.

Be aware though that this time of the year is also varying when it comes to the weather as well. It ranges from nights of 40-50 degrees as the low to 60-90 degrees high during the day.

Also usually the first weekend/ Friday is the annual taping of the Christmas Parade at the Magic Kingdon with Regis and company.

Hope this helps you out! :smooth:
