Ok, so my first trip EVER to Disney is SATURDAY :cool1: :cool1: . It's my son's 7th b-day :bday: and he has NO idea we are going :rotfl:
So we got our tickets and I was wondering.... Do we need to show our tickets at each ride or scan them? Do we need them to get fast passes? Like I said, I've never been. This site has been so helpful. Any tips? Do you keep them in anything special so they don't get misplaced. Is there something I should buy?
TIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the most part, the only times you need your ticket is when you enter the park or if you want to get a fast pass. If you have park hopping priv's, you'll also need to get your hand stamped and use your ticket at the next park. They don't faithfully check for the hand stamp, but get it if you hop.

Oh, and you don't need to stick your fingers into the biometric scanner when entering a park. That's to identify annual pass type holders.

Hope this helps,
Joe

Yea that used to be true, but with all MYW tickets they are supposed to use the biometric scanner. Thats how they are inforcing the Non-Transferable ticket policy.

You will only need to get your park tickets out when you enter the park and when you want to get a fast pass. (If you're going during a crowded time of the year get as many of them as you can - look for the time you can get the next one on the bottom of the last fastpass you got.)

I bought an inexpensive canvas wallet at the AK. I think it is probably meant for kids, but it is perfect for organizing park tickets, a driver's license (be sure you have it with you), a credit card, money, fastpasses, a printout with our Priority Seating confirmation #'s, etc. That's my Disney wallet - I load it with just the things I need during my trip and carry it around in my pocket.

Have a great trip!

Thanks for the update. I'll have to keep that in mind when buying tickets for guests. No more Adventurer Club nights using left over Plusses. I knew there was a downside for the people.
