Right now, I am looking at the flight that's leaving MCO at 4:40pm. I think we will have to get on magic express around 1:30pm from my resort. We are staying at CBR. I'd like to wrap up the trip with some DW experience (i.e. more park time or character dining). So I am not interested in Disney Spring. Here are some options:

1) Garden Grill at 9am breakfast - but I will need to use one day park ticket for entry, then more fun at EP until 12:30pm?

2) 'Ohana breakfast at 1030am - no park ticket needed, but will I have enough time to return back to my resort and hop on ME?

3) MK for the morning and then BOG lunch at 12:05pm - again one day park ticket will needed here

I have 5 days park hopper ticket. 4 days park is pretty much planned. The extra 5th day ticket, I can use it for arrival day, departure day or on the day of my MVMCP party.

we tend to have breakfast somewhere and then just resort hop and relax by the pool. We will also hit DS if we did not go any shopping before hand and she is in the mood for that. For us it is a very low key day.

We always do a park on our departure day. It keeps us from focusing on leaving.

Since you're on a multi day ticket already adding those extra days won't be very expensive. I would add both departure and arrival days.

Heck, depending on how much energy our group has I might even add the party day.

We do a character breakfast then check out things around our resort, sit by the pool or beach, last minute shopping , etc. I don't like to rushed or worried about getting back in time. That extra stress would make for a very long trip home for me!

If your last day of departure is a Saturday or Sunday, you can do Garden Grove character breakfast then spend some time on the Boardwalk...save the ticket for your next trip If no expiration.

I think the decision should come down to how you want to spend your last day.

The Brunch at a hotel will let you sleep in a bit (a good thing if you're planning on rope-dropping the rest of the days or have a late night the day before) and you'll get to see another hotel that you might not have had the time to visit otherwise. A mono-rail resort is good for this or I did Boma on my last day of my last trip because I wanted to check out ALK.

The Breakfast in the park would require you to get up early (even earlier than a traditional rope-drop day since you would also need to check-out of your room and leave your luggage at the front before you leave for the park) but on the plus side you can get that one last ride in.

I probably wouldn't do the 12 PM lunch if I had to be back by 1:30 (that means leaving the park by about 12:45 and accounting for the time to walk back to the park exit that means you would probably need to be done with your meal by 12:30). I, personally, would feel to rushed. On my last trip I cut it really close in getting back to CBR for my pick-up (we ended up getting enthralled by the FoF parade and leaving 15 mins later than I had originally planned) and it wasn't fun worrying on the bus back if we would make it in time.

For many years, Chef Mickey's was our last day tradition. I scheduled a late breakfast that served asbrunch and gave us plenty of time to pack up and check out. MK buses are easy for your return to your resort for ME PICK-up.

My husband and I usually take the latest flight that way we have time to get our things together in the am and check out and check our bags and head out to a park for the day and be back in time to get changed and wait for the ME. Usually our flight departs at 8ish so we tend to have all day in the park.

We always did a park on the last day of our trips. But on DH and my last trip in January, DH requested that future trips have the last day relaxing at the resort and enjoying the "vacation" part of Disney

My choice would be Chef Mickey's for breakfast on departure day, and use your extra ticket on arrival day to start your vacation with a park if you have time.

We do the same. We like to get every bit out of our WDW vacation, and as one poster mentioned, it takes a bit of the sadness out of leaving. Another bonus for us is that when we get a 8 or 9 o'clock flight the security lines aren't as long. We've been able to have a lot of fun on our last day with very little stress.

Of the 3, I would do the late O'Hana breakfast or another resort character meal (1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's, Cape May, etc.). The 10:30 am time will give you time in the morning to relax, pack up last minute things and leave your bags with bell services. I would leave breakfast by noon to get back to the resort and collect your bags before DME shows up.

For about $10 extra per ticket, you could add a day and do an in-park breakfast, but that doesn't give you much time for last minute packing in the am. I'm all for not feeling rushed in that last day.

Agree your able to have more fun the last day and takes away a little of the sadness.... Also agree with the security lines I find it much easier early in the am which I like to do when heading to Disney and much later in the evening...

Our getaway day usually is a little resort hopping, often to AKL to see the animals on the savanna in the morning, followed by Disney Springs. We grab something to eat but don't make ADRs.

We drive when we go.. so on our last day we do the following:
1. Check out and pack the car early.
2. Hit the bus and go to MK and either have breakfast there or at a monorail resort.
3. We hit MK and stay until around noon or a little later. This is usually our shopping and window shopping day. May take in a attraction or two but we usually don't venture through the whole park.
4. Head back to whichever resort we stayed at and the hit the road and drive until around Atlanta and do an overnight. (Returning home the next day in the late afternoon).

My family and I are always packed and prepared for departure the night before [no matter what time we get back from a park the night before]. My DW loves doing laundry at CBR on that last night so sometimes we're back by 11:00pm/12:00am so she can get that done...we also swim a bit in the pool as the clothes wash/dry. It's a great way to reflect and plan the following day....kind of a tradition at this point albeit very sad.

On departure day, we always "ask" for a late check-out [and we always get it]. This gives us time to hit a park, usually MK, and we hit our faves one last time before heading to DS for lunch at WPE and any last-minute shopping. Then back to CBR to get things in our rental car to head out. Flight from MCO to JFK is usually early afternoon. This year however, I booked a 7:00pm flight out so we'll have more time on that last day.

As far as your plan, personally, i wouldn't schedule anything later than 11:00am so you have time to get back the CBR for DME. Plus you won't feel rushed looking at the time every few seconds....Wish you the best on your vacation!
