What to do on last day

I have a question about how best to spend our time on the last day of our trip. We will be at the Contemporary, and our flight leaves at 545 pm.

I assume Magical Express will pick us up from the hotel at 245 pm?

Sooo... what would you do?

- Squeeze in some park time at the Magic Kingdom? If so - How long should we allow to get from MK back to the Contemporary and our bags? I considered a lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table, but the only time I could find was 1:15 and I was worried it would be too rushed. Would we make it?

- Spend the day at the pool/resort?

- Other recommendations?

It's always our tradition to go to MK on our last day. We usually have a 7 pm or later flight, so we have until around 4:00. We don't swim because we don't want to deal with wet bathing suits. We usually don't make ADRS, just in case things get hectic that last day (someone HAS to ride TOT one more time or we need to stop at a DTD a store).

Enjoy your trip!

Well with being only a short walk to the contemporary for your pick up which will likely be at 2:45 in the afternoon, I'd definitely do MK one last time. Especially if you already have a ticket for more than 3 days and that last day isn't going to cost very much to add.

We did a last morning in MK on our last trip and we had to catch a bus back to our hotel at noon. I'd say it's worth it even if all you do is walk around and use your 3 fastpasses.

I would suggest going mini golfing while at Disney. If you have booked your trip as a Magic Your Way package you should receive vouchers for mini golfing for two people. My recommendation is to go to the winter/summerland course. You get to choose between a winter theme or a summer theme. There are also obstacles and surprises along the way. Its well worth it and only takes an hour or so.

You can check out and check your bags before you head to MK. Any carry-ons can be left with bell check. This way, all you have to do before ME is grab your carry-ons and wait for the bus.

We would definitely be over at MK hitting up those mountains one last time!

I wouldn't chance CRT. You'd be checking your watch the whole time and feeling rushed. Not the way I want to spend my last hour at WDW. AND if you cancel because they're running late, you could be hit with a cancellation fee.

You probably should be outside the entrance of MK around 2:00 and walking back to CR. This gives you time to get bags and use the restroom before your bus pulls up.

With Disney/Universal it's usually the same routine:

We try to schedule an early evening flight back (between 6-8pm).

We request a late checkout, hit the park(s) early and ride our favorites, return to the room to shower and pack, drop off bags at concierge, go have a nice long lunch and wander into the park for a last look. If we get a flight that leans more towards 8pm, we'll grab a light early dinner.

Then, to the shuttle and back home! I hate feeling like I've wasted that last day so we always try to get the most out of it that we can.

We go to a park on our last day. We get there at opening and leave an hour and half before our pick-up time to be sure we're back on time.

We always schedule a 5 or 6 p.m. flight and go to a park on departure day. We try to squeeze every last minute out of vacation. I would not book CRT at 1:15 because it can often take an hour and a half and ME will likely pick you up at 2:45. We always get to bell services about 15 to 20 minutes before our ME time and have never had a problem getting our luggage back in time. We usually resort check in our bags before going to the park, so we are only picking up carry ons- but even if you are doing all your luggage it shouldn't take any more time. One year we had a problem with Delta and wound up having to cart all our bags ourselves and 15-20 minutes was still plenty of time to get them all.

You are lucky enough that you are staying a 10 minute walk from MK, and will not have to rely on any transportation to get back. As a result, you do not have to leave the park an hour or an hour and a half before your ME time. Just give yourself time to make the walk, take a quick bathroom break, and 15 or 20 minutes for bell services. We have stayed at the BC/YC the last couple of trips and being able to walk back for EPCOT has been great for departure day as it allows us to get every last minute in the parks!

I would head to MK and possible reserve an ADR for breakfast or lunch somewhere.

We always have lunch at Epcot and take a walk around the World Showcase before our flight home.
