What to do before Cirque?

We have tickets for a 6pm showing of the Cirque on a Tuesday (with dinner at Bongos afterwards.) Right now, this is the only thing set in stone for our trip.

We will be at WDW for a total of 5 full days (Sat - Wed). I want to plan what to do during the day that Tuesday. I was thinking DQ, since it is right there, but I have heard that it is good to dress up for Cirque & that won't be the case if we just come out of DQ. I guess we could hit a park (but which one?) for 1/2 day, get back to the resort change & then take the bus to DTD. Also, we will need to get something in our tummies to tie us over until a late dinner.

Our party is 4 adults & 4 kids (8-10). I will be buying the UHP for the stay.

How should I time all that? What do you suggest? Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

well I am to sure about may of the questions in your post but you needn't be "dressed up" for Cirque - probably shouldn't show up lookin like a homeless person but you don't have to be dressed like you would for a Play or Opera and the like - just normal casual attire

we did sea world all day and then arrived at cirque a few minutes before curtain - we had our own car so my only concern if I were you would be how to time the bus from the resort to dtd

Casual attire is fine, shorts/slacks and shirt. Make sure to get there so you are in your seats about 30 minutes before showtime, lots going on, lots of fun and laughs.

WHy not make that day your DTD day? Do DQ, great place, and it can keep you going for a long time. As for eats, FoodQuest in DQ, light food and great desserts. Maybe Wolfgang Puck Express, Gourmet Pantry, all lighter fare.

We've got Cirque tickets too at 6 p.m. with a PS afterwards. I'm planning on going to the AK that day. It's not a huge park and you can be done in time to change and get downtown. Now keep in mind, this is two adults so we can move quickly and will be skipping some things at the park like Rafiki's.

I don't recall anyone being particularly dressed up for Cirque. As Dan suggested, slacks, polo shirt, etc. is more the norm than suits.

One tip for the ladies, try to "powder your nose" before you go to the theater. They let everyone in at once, and that translated to long lines at the ladies room.
