Adults going/staying at the Yacht club very soon. Was wondering if anyone had suggestions what to do at night? Our dinners each night will be over by 8 or 9pm. We are going for 6 nights, and to downtown disney for la nouba for 1 of the nights. Suggestions for the other nights? Go to hotel Xyx? Karaoke at Xyx? Walk to xyz? I heard there are marshmallow roasting somewhere? Obviously swimming I know about.

Thanks!!! :wizard:

You could always head to another park for evening extra magic hours. If you are eating in the Boardwalk area and you are done by 9, you could walk into Epcot World Showcase just to watch Illuminations. There is a ton of evening entertainment on the Boardwalk - an easy walk from Yacht Club - jugglers, games. You can even rent a surrey bike at the Boardwalk and go for a spin. You are at a great hotel for finding night life! You could go to Jellyrolls piano bar or Atlantic Dance Hall, again at the Boardwalk, just a short walk from the Yacht Club.

My fiance and I (no kids) make it a point to get to Jellyrolls on the Boardwalk at least once a trip. It's an all request dueling piano bar that can play anything from Billy Joel and Elton John to Queen to Biz Marke or the Beastie Boys or Lady GaGa or Garth Brooks and everything in between. We can easily spend a couple of hours in there each time we go.

We also like to sit outside at Fuegos at DTD and have a drink or 2 while I have a cigar. It's a great place to sit, relax and people watch.

You can go for a late night round of mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens. It's a pretty short walk from the YC (it is over by the Swan and Dolphin).

Lots of people love Jellyrolls at Boardwalk. I haven't been, but read it doesn't it get going until about 9pm and you should be there then to get a seat because it fills up.

Aside from La Nouba, DTD is always fun with all the bars and restaurants around. Last time we were there was on a Friday in September and they had some outdoor entertainment at Pleasure Island. DTD is crowded on the weekends but there's a lot going on.

If you're near MK, you could also watch the electric boat parade and Wishes from the beach at Poly. We did that one night, and then had a drink at the bar after to let the crowds clear out. It was a nice way to watch it, and they play the music that goes with it.

In case you see anything about Yeehaw Bob at POR, he is a lounge act at POR who plays there certain nights of the week. While it's cute, as two adults, we didn't enjoy it. It was silly, family humor which is to be expected. I wouldn't make a special trip there to see his show without kids.

There is karaoke at Kimonos at the Swan (5 minute walk from Yacht). It's a sushi bar but later in the evening, they do karaoke.

IMO, the best lounge/bar on property is bluezoo's lounge at the Dolphin (2 minute walk from Yacht). They have mixologists and a great menu of martinis. The raw bar is very good but you could also order from the full menu in the lounge too.

Jellyrolls is a 5 minute walk, live piano music where they take song requests.

There are movies on the Beach a little closer to the Beach Club but they are over by 9pm.

Although StormAlongBay closes early, 10pm, the quiet pools are open.

Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance Hall, Extra Magic Hours, Mini Golf, Downtown Disney, Resort Bars

You can go to Old Town in Kissimee. They have a karaokebar, clubs, rides, skycoaster and so on. They have an Old Time photo where you can get cool old fashion picture, some laser tag thingy, gocart, haunted house with actors and so on.

I vote with the Jelly Rolls folks. The best tip I've heard about Jelly Rolls is not to go on the weekends as it can get crowded with locals.

So many people RAVE about Jelly Rolls I would definitely give it a try. It's an easy walk after dinner and you can enjoy an after dinner beverage at the club. The boardwalk is also open at night so you can take a stroll there if Jelly rolls doesn't pan out for you.

Good luck and have a great trip!

Bluezoo lounge at the Dolphin gets my vote for fav adult activity within walking distance. Very interesting and creative drinks and it doesn't feel to "disney-ish".

There's also mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens across from the Swan/Dolphin that is open until 11. You can walk there easily from YC.

I'm going to have to agree with everyone that has said Jellyrolls! Had an AMAZING time there on my last trip. I requested a song they didn't know (Skipper Dan by Weird Al) and when those 2 players went on break they actually looked it up, learned it and played it when they came back onstage! Blew me away that they would do that :D

PP's have covered most of the disney resort places, I would like to add House of Blues usually has live music and DisneyQuest if you like interactive gaming. Offsite I would suggest Universal City Walk, they have a lot of theme restuarants and bars like;
Emeril's Restaurant Orlando (excellent food)
Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville (a fun place)
Bob Marley - A Tribute to Freedom
The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
Hard Rock Cafe Orlando
Latin Quarter
NASCAR Sports Grill
NBA City
Pastamoré Ristorante & Market
Pat O'Brien's®
Red Coconut Club®
CityWalk's Rising Star
the groove
Fat Tuesday

Personally I don't like House of Blues as it seems like the male population thinks they're free to touch you wherever they want and the word "no" isn't even in their vocabulary :headache:

Nothing like painting an entire sex with the same brush.

Try whichever park is open late and also take the time to check out the different resorts. Downtown Disney is also enough for a couple nights! I used to have the same concern about what to do late night for adults only- I soon realized that we were so tired by 9 pm from the days' activities that we were more than happy not to do a thing! :goodvibes
