Other than a backpack, what can you use to carry all of your "stuff in"? Any suggestions on a travel purse or something big enough to hold our tickets, money, fast passes, camera, etc.

Also, any suggestions on what to take into the park each day?

Money, tix, small camera and cell phone go in my fanny pack.

Everything else goes in a large diaper bag that I keep in the stroller. I suppose if my kids no longer used a stroller that I would put the remainder in a backpack and rent a locker to store the backpack.

(Now where did I put that fanny pack? I need to find it for our trip in April.)

My DH wears the fanny pack that holds money, tickets and camera. I bought a water resistant bag from Lands End that I hang on the handle of our stroller. In there goes ponchos, extra clothes for DD, sunscreen, a bag with bandaids, aspirin, chapstick, glow necklaces and then holds all the stuff we accumulate that day!

i use a fanny pack or purse for money, tickets, purse & then we have an animal kingdom tote we use sometimes to carry other things like small souvenirs, gatorade, etc.

Travelon Messenger style shoulder bag from www.irvs.com. Found it to be the perfect size, wasn't too heavy, wore it sling style , had places for tix & id, and enough room for digital camera, chapstick and gum. Plus it looked way better on me than those goofy fanny packs.

What to take and what to carry it in depends so much on how prepared you like to be, how much you want to "haul to save" and the ages of your kids.

The first trip with kids I had two in diapers. I used a backpack (I find that works best for my back, because I can actaully distribute the weight across both shoulders). It was winter, so it was chilly in the mornings, warmer in the afternoons and chilly again in the evenings.

We carried:

Diapers
Wipes
Sippy Cups
Fruit Snacks
Cheerios
Bubbles
Bottled Water
Juice boxes
Jackets for everyone
$50 in cash (we generally charged to the room)
Room Keys (park passes were on the keys)
ID for the grownups
Camera
Video Camera
Umbrellas

Contrast that to the previous pre-child trip in warmer weather:

ID
Room Key/passes
$50
Camera

That all fit in a fanny pack easily

Next trip the kids will be six and seven:

Room keys
Park passes
ID for grownups
$50
bottled water
snacks (granola bars, fruit snacks)
