Hi guys

not sure if doing this right as trying to post a poll to get some ideas for my children's book.

Yay the poll worked!!

Now some background on the story.

I am going to enter a competition to write a children's picture book.

It has to be a max of 1000 words.

My story is about hot air balloons and a boy called Dylan who gets to see the hot air balloons for the first time ( each year where i live hot air balloons come to town and it is great time).

Anyway he gets to see them flying over head his place and mum takes him to the lake to see them being inflated. She tells him she will bring him to nightglow (at night when balloons all lit up and he can have a ride in one).

He see a crocodile shaped hot air balloon fly over his house and that is the one he wants to see at night glow. He sees it at night glow and get to ride in it.

What shall we call it??

Not knowing what your book is about made it difficult...
The "crocodile ride" title threw me off,
but the other titles made it pretty clear that
someone named Dylan takes a balloon ride *chuckle*.
I actually tied between Dylan's Balloon Ride, which I voted for,
and "Up, Up and Away" - both sounded like
good children's book titles to me.

Ya gotta go with Crocodile Ride! If my son saw that title, he'd buy the book without knowing what it was about! Sounds cool and intriguing! (did i spell that right?)

I vote for Crocodile Ride! I think that's really original and would catch peoples attention best! I know it would cause me to pick up the book and check it out!

"The Crocodile That Could Fly", or "The Crocodile That Flew" or
"The Cat in the Hat"...but that might have been used before:jester:

Hey, Can I change my vote???

Now that I know what the book's about
I find myself agreeing with most of the others,
Crocodile Ride (or something like it) sounds great!

3 yr. old DS is all into crocs, so I gotta go with one of them. If we were at the bookstore, that would catch our eye! Can't see the poll right now, so I'll have to tell you my vote later.
