Hi everyone....We are making our first trip to WDW with our children 10/29 through 11/5...this will also our first trip in 10 yrs. We are renting points and staying at OKW in a 2 bedroom. Please forgive my ignorance, but I really don't know how everything works...so if some of you have a minute to help me out I would sure appreciate it!!!!!!! :goodvibes
I believe I have read that we do NOT get maid service everyday (but we can ??? :confused3 ) Do we need to bring sheets or towels or anything??? We will be using all the beds plus the pullout couch. Also I do believe the kitchen is fully stocked....with dishes etc?? obviously not food..although that would sure be nice!! lol And finally...what about cleaning supplies?? Dish detergent, laundry detergent, a vacuum (we have kids) anything like that??? Even if someone could let me know if there is a place I could look this info up....haven't had any success yet!
THanks so much! :wave2:

I'll try to help you out with some general answers here, as I don't have the guidebook readily available. Also, we only stay in studios at the BCV so I may
mis-represent the actual answers for OKW 2BRs. So, here we go: You can request housekeeping service each day of your stay, I would suggest at check-in. The fee is in the $25 range/day...again, I don't have access to the guidebook so that may be incorrect. You do not need to bring sheets or towels. They are provided. Towels are also provided at the pools. Rooms are equipped with vacuum cleaners and the essentials for the kitchen, plates, utensils, glasses, coffee mugs. Dishwashing soap and one load of laundry detergent are provided. You'll have a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, etc.

What to bring? Munchies, cold drinks, coffee (and filters) if you don't like the hotel packets, extra laundry detergent, vacuum cleaner bags...just kidding on that one :rolleyes1 .

I bet you guys are going to have a blast!

You don't need to bring sheets or anything like that. All beds will be completely made. If you are staying under 8 nights but 5 or more nights, you will get Trash & Towel on the 4th day. They give you fresh towels and take out the garbage and give you a box of Tide and new coffee supplies There is a place right at the bottom of the stairs where you can empty garbage and recyclables during the week. You also have a full washer/dryer in the unit if you want to freshen your towels in-between. You can buy a "pack" of towels for $6 -- I think it's a set of 4. You can also pay for them to come in and clean the unit but I don't think you'll find that necessary.

Brooms, vaccums, mops are all in the unit. If there's something that's not there, call and ask first if they have it. Lots of times they do. There are all kinds of dishes, glasses, pans, etc. already in the unit.

You do need to pay for extra detergent/fabric softner. Bring your own or buy it down there. Kleenex, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher soap are all provided and you can let them know if you are running low.

**I just looked up the cost for a 2-bedroom cleaning. It's $40 per day.***

The box of Tide is a single use box. One full load only. I usually bring along a bottle of liquid Tide, plus dryer sheets.

The coffee is a single packet of coffee within a filter pack. They used to give one decaf and one caf, but I had heard that might have changed. The coffee maker is the basket type if you want to bring more filters and a can of coffee.

Full cleaning may be more like $40/day than $25/day. I think that might be the cost for a one bedroom.

You can purchase extra laundry detergent for $1.00 per load. It may be cheaper an easier than buting in one of the food stores.

Bring shampoo and other like items. They are supplied when you get there, but you may run out (as my family of 4 does) in a day or 2.

we'll be at OKW on Tuesday!!!! Have Fun

We had to add hand soap to our 'bring' list.

Unless you can use that "Ivory-ish" stuff that they switched to. Yuck! :earseek:

I appreciate all these tips soooo much! It will help in my packing. I just can't wait and want to pack now!!!!!!!!! 70 days to go!
Anything else anyone thinks of please let me know!!! :wave2:

Don't forget your sense of humor.

if you bring alot of money you will have everything you need in WDW..........because everything else is there

Here is a list of what you should find in the room.
