We are going on the 3 day land 4 day sea vacation on the Wonder in October. I booked my own airfare and had a great flight home time (12:30pm) Well......Delta cancelled that flight and changed my itinerary to 6:15 pm. I will have a 2 1/2 year old with me and the thought of being at the airport for 7-8 hours makes me crazy!! Does anyone know what time you disembark and what the earliest flight out time I should book?...

I'll be watching Delta's site for flight additions and wanted to grab the earliest one....Will 11:15 be too early to assure I'll be there on time? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Marianne,

We've made 11:30 flights easily our last two times. Both were on American and we checked out luggage at the port and took Disney transport to the airport. We arrived in plenty of time and relaxed at the airport for almost 2 hours.

Now having said that I will say that we were lucky because we had no delays. Disney recommends nothing earlier than noon because there could be delays in coming in, and if security is heightened again there could be delays in getting off the ship as well.

We also have no children so I can't address how much extra time you may need.

I believe Delta does allow you to check your bags at the port as well so that should help.

One piece of advice I've seen before. If you stick with the later flight think about getting a day room at the airport Hyatt. It will give the family a place to relax, maybe let the little one take a nap, and you can use the pool.

It's a tough decision whether to take a chance....I just checked the Hyatt online and they say the hotel is sold out for that day...I'll call later but that's a great idea! Also, I thought about trying to find attractions near the airport that we could do for a few hours and then have lunch somewhere.....But...What I'd really love is to just get on an 11:15 flight and go home and relax!! I've got time to ponder the options.. and maybe a flight will be added that is better..Thanks again
