What Time Of Day Do Airfares Typically Go Down?

After my fiasco this morning the prices are still up there. I know they lower them some time during the day, but my obsession with checking every 5 minutes is driving me nuts.

Anyone know around what time that airlines reduce their prices?I'd rather get in the day before than have to wait up till 12 midnight tonight and be on the phone to get the early flight at a good price.

My experience, though maybe someone can shed some light on it and no way official, it seems to me that whenever there is a fare change it seems to occur on Tuesdays/Wednesday. Often I see an airline drop their fare on Tuesday morning, and by the afternoon, other airlines have followed suit. Also noticing when a special fare expires, usually means that a new special fare is right around the corner. I check airfare pretty much every morning and every afternoon. I got my airfare for my July and October trips, but my daughter and family are also traveling in october and haven't purchased their fare yet.
