What Time is the 4 o'clock Rain? -- Updates 11/2-4 -- Tim's surprise and Marco&Recap

We may have to talk about this and see if there is another day we are at the same park. Mark and I will probably make rope drop (despite being at the party the night before). No, we don't have tickets for the 5th...we're only doing one party. Unfortunately, our lunch is right when you'll be ending your breakfast (we have an 11:00 at Yak & Yeti). I am not sure how long we will stay; the hope is to stay to at least catch the parade and then we have dinner at Yachtsman that night.

ooops we are going on the 3rd! TYPO :lmao: that's the night you are going right?

if you are staying for the parade we should be able to squeeze in a couple rides! I will PM you our itinerary this weekend, if nothing else we can meet up somewhere along the way :thumbsup2

we've never eaten at CP, was hoping to try it this trip, but wasn't fitting in, always next time!

yay for getting on so many rides in the morning and a M & G to boot! love the photos and that you got in on the Hat fun, cute headband! Megan plans on getting one this trip!

That scotch egg description looks interesting, I am sure my hubby would try it, he will try anything at least once!

Tell me about the humidity!! Ugh! I hate what it does to my hair but at least my skin feels better so that's the good thing. I guess. :confused3

Sweet kissing pic of you and the mister.

I knew it!!! I knew you were headed to CP for your puffed french toast! CP is still on my list of restaurants to try. And happy to hear you had great service...that is so important to me, probably because of all the years Bruce and I spent working in restaurants.

Looks like you had beautiful weather that day.

Hope you're having a great day....nothing like a little thunder and rain this morning, huh?!

OH JOY!!!!
FINALLY!!! He put on a JACK HAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:dance3: :cheer2:

i'm so happy...

LOVE the pictures from breakfast. and you talked me into it. its a must do next year!

I know I am the minority here, but I thought CP breakfast was just awful. The character interaction, the staff, the food...all of it. The only thing I liked about it was the decor. We were seated up against the back wall to the left as you walk in. We had a great view of the castle as we sat there waiting FOREVER for the characters. That puffed french toast was like rubber...the "breakfast lasagna" just about broke my teeth.

Like any bad meal experience....I would try it again just in case it was a fluke, but it will be a while :(

So jealous you got to ride the carpets with Jasmine and Aladdin. How cool is that?!

Love me some CP!! We've had many a breakfast there and never had a bad experience. We ate dinner there one time before MNSSHP, and were dressed in Pooh and Tigger costumes. That was a really fun time!!:goodvibes

Love the interaction with Jasmine and Aladdin!! My goal is to try and get on a ride with characters. It doesn't matter who, just once!!:wizard:

SCOTCH EGG:

Per my APP on my phone and allears, it is: Golden-fried Hard-boiled Eggs wrapped in Sausage Meat with Mustard Sauce

Mmmm...sounds good to me!

And that is the last picture I got of our food. We were having too much fun with our waitress who was an absolute hoot and with the characters.

Hard to beat breakfast in the Magic Kingdom. There's something special about beating the crowds there.

I put Mark in charge of the plans for the morning and he said to go left.

Sounds like a Disney veteran.

Mark said let's do this one. So off we went. And who ended up on the ride with us (although not in our carpet), but Aladdin and Jasmine. That was really fun to see.

Cool! :thumbsup2

After a fun meeting with Aladdin and Jasmine, we headed to the Jungle Cruise. We knew it was closing while we were there so we wanted to get on it when we had the opportunity:

Good thinking! You never know when you're going to need some corny puns.:thumbsup2

Love his picture on BTMRR!

Gotta love how the two of you are up and at 'em so early in the morning. I can't get my bunch moving that early. I might entice them into it by booking a breakfast ADR. Your breakfasts looked delicious.

I think we are so used to being up for work that it doesn't bother us; plus, we sleep in once we get to Marco. We love our CP breakfast.

Mark's picture on Big Thunder Mountain was so funny! He was having a grand old time!

He sure was!

Great report! Sorry about the pasta at Sci-Fi.

:welcome::welcome: and thank you...glad you are enjoying. Yes, the pasta was definitely something not to be ordered again.

No hint needed. This ain't my first KatMark TR.

Well, some people...not mentioning any names...forget things. ;)

And if you were headed to grab breakfast at the MK from a place that didn't take an ADR, that would be an easy guess too. :rolleyes1

Yep, that's where I would have gone if I didn't have CP.

Going left at Disney World is always a good call! :thumbsup2

I think it's the best one until everyone else figures it out. :rotfl:

Any unemployment jokes or anything like that from the skippers? Sometimes they work some good "current event" type material in.

I don't remember; we had a guy on the back of the boat with us who snorted during jokes and I could hardly hear half of them.

And??? :confused3

He didn't find any kids to have a sword fight with, but I accommodated him.

Great pics! :goodvibes

Thank you. :goodvibes

All your pics at CP are making me so sad that I can't get an ADR for Dec :( So yummy. Super cute pics. I love the one of Mark on BTMR!!! I know one crazy blonde girl who will sword fight with him in Dec.

Do you know I just now noticed the title above your ticker? I LOVE IT!

I keep looking for CP to see if we can squeeze it in somewhere (even if we have to go there before our other parks).

I know Cayley will definitely be getting in a sword fight with Mr. Mark.

/
Great BTMMR pictures, especially the one with Mark screaming. :rotfl2:

I love that you guys had character hats for your character encounters at breakfast. That definitely makes everything more fun. I love CP and we are eating there in October. I am drooling over your food. It looks so good!

I am overdue for a CP breakfast. Have a dinner coming up in Oct but have not had a breakfast scheduled in a couple of years.

Great BTMRR pictures.

MMMmm puffed French toast. :thumbsup2

I definitely recognized that breakfast spot, since I was just there last week! :goodvibes Your pictures with Pooh and the gang are great, and I'm glad you had a good waitress. That always helps the meal be memorable for a good reason!

Stephanie, I hope your breakfast was good too. We had so much fun with our waitress...especially Mark.

Your park tour start after CP sounds exactly like mine, minus Jungle Cruise since it was closed for me. :sad1: And it was definitely cool that you got to ride Magic Carpet with Aladdin and Jasmine!

I'm so glad we got Jungle Cruise (especially after what happens with another closure later in the trip :(). It was cool being on the ride with characters.

I knew immediately when you said you had an early breakfast that you were going to Crystal Place! I love the Eeyore and Tigger ears! Someday I will make it to Crystal Palace for a meal just probably not breakfast. My poor stomach couldn't handle all the greasy goodness. :sad2:

Thanks; Mark has had his ears for about 10 years; I got mine a few years ago after losing my first pair several years ago to one of Andy's girlfriends.

I have decided we are heading left on our MK day too! Between Peter Pan being closed and FP+, I don't have the ugency to get certain rides done first thing in the morning.

When is Peter Pan closed? In October?

So cool that you got to ride the Magic Carpets with Aladdin & Jasmine! And the meet and greet looks like a lot of fun. You guys were chatting up a storm!

We had a good time with them...they were a lot of fun.

That spider in the JC line doesn't even look real but it still scares me! I hate spiders.

Me too!

Awe, I would have had a sword fight with Mark! That would have been fun.

He'll sword fight with anyone.

Love all the pictures of BTMR, especially the one of Mark. I think I've mentioned it before but he reminds me so much of my Dad who passed away in 2007. Always makes me smile when I'm reading your TRs.

Awww...thank you.

You are spoiling us with so many great photos :)

Thanks, Linda.

I love the ones of you both in front of the castle - what lovely anniversary shots

We were very lucky with photopass pics...I can't wait until I get the CD.

The pictures at CP are just so cute!

Thank you.

You two are so adorable! I don't know how you do it - day after humid day and trip after trip! I just love following along!

D, thank you so much. We know when to rest and that's a big help.

YAY for CP breakfast - it is our MUST Do every trip.. We've eaten there on each trip since 2008 and never once had a bad experience (I hope I don't jynx it).

Us too! We had one bad experience when we only saw one character in 70 minutes, but other than that time, it's been great each and every time.

I love how you let Mark plan that morning... That's an excellent idea!

I figured since I do all the other planning I should let him do something. :lmao:

So happy you got to ride BTMRR and Splash. Also - it sounds like you had a great meet n' greet with Jasmine and Aladdin! Awesome!

D~

Me too; we had missed Splash Mountain the last two trips. And Jasmine and Aladdin were great fun.

We haven't done Crystal Palace in a while. DH loves a breakfast buffet !!

Then what are you waiting for?

I love all of your hat photos. We always used to try on hats until the the kids came home with "critters" in their hair. So we avoid that pastime now.

Oh now that scared me a bit. :scared1:

I love that photo of Mark on BTMMR !!

Susan

Thank you.

Kathy,

Your pictures of CP have me so excited about our first ADR ever for this place. We will be having breakfast before the MK opens the same day as when we are going to be at the MVMCP. I can't wait to walk down Mainstreet before opening and then walking Mainstreet at midnight. :cool1:

Oh, Bob I hope you love it as much as we do. What a great day that is going to be for you...and you get to meet me. ;)

Fell a bit behind but I'm all caught up now!

:yay::yay::yay: glad you are caught up.

So glad you had a nice time at Rose & Crown! It's definitely on our top 5! We've only done it for lunch on previous trips but this time we'll be there for dinner so it will be a slightly different experience! Although I'm sure it will be equally as fantastic!

We've done it at lunch and dinner and enjoyed both!

Every time we go to WDW and don't make an ADR for CP, I regret it...Now I'm wondering if I should try and sneak it in somewhere.... :scratchin Reading TRs wreaks havoc on my planning! :rotfl2:

You've changed so many times, why not? :rotfl::rotfl:

What a great morning you're off to already! I love the pooh characters AND I love the Jungle Cruise! My kids LOVE BTMRR! I like it, but it's almost too wild for me (I'm such a wimp).

I love the smoochy photo of you guys at CP! I'm sure Eeyore appreciated Mark's head-gear. Adorable! I totally love your first plate of food - puffed French toast... Ahhhh!! :thumbsup2

Eeyore always notices Mark's ears. :) I could eat Puffed French Toast every day.

We've never taken a spin on the magic carpet ride. It's mental for us. No shade for the wait so that's that. Of course we have no excuse in December. ;)

Nope, you have no excuse in December.

Oh man, I remembered that JC was closing down for refurb too late. Em hit up EMH the night before they closed but I didn't go so I completely missed that ride this time. Bummer!

I'm glad we caught it...I almost forgot.

So did you pick up a sword and fight with Mark in the dump shop?

Yes, I did. :)

First off, I have to say...hooray for the Milwaukee Zoo! My parents used to take us there once a year when I was a kid (I grew up in WI). I haven't been there in ages, but it does bring back memories. :goodvibes

Nory, it's a great zoo.

I hope Mark is feeling better!

He is, thank you.

That pasta looks absolutely disgusting. Good for you for speaking up about it! I never do, always just say something lame about how I wasn't that hungry, or something...sounds like I should be more honest, at least at WDW!

I didn't do it to get the food free; I tend to be too honest sometimes.

I have somehow never managed to do the animation class, though I really I want to. Rapunzel, though? She seems WAY too hard.

She was very hard; and I don't see you doing it on your next trip either. ;)

That Scotch Egg looks delicious. I would like one right now. I've had a few really surprisingly nice meals at R&C, especially considering nothing on the menu usually prompts me to make an ADR there. I always have to remind myself how good they are!

They really are...one of the better ones at Epcot in our opinion.

I'm jealous of your early ADR at the Crystal Palace! I only managed to swing one of those once...I'm always booking them too late. It sure was nice, though. And I love that buffet!

That is one of those you have to do first because everyone wants that early ADR.

Catching up on all your recent posts has made me very hungry. Maybe I should focus on the pasta, to curb my appetite? :rotfl:

That would certainly do it. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Loved the update!! CP is my favorite character breakfast. I love entering the park early in the morning with the freshly washed streets and empty castle area photos!!!

It's our favorite too for the exact same reason.

Mark has such fun in WDW! You are so lucky to be able to share your love of Disney. My DH just doesn't get it. :sad2: Oh well. I will still go anyway, with or without him. My DD loves it, so I know I will always have a
companion.

If it weren't for Mark, I wouldn't love Disney as much as I do.

Going left is always best in the morning. That side of the park has no one around!

No, it doesn't which is good. We only do Buzz and the Peoplemover on the other side and can always get a Buzz fastpass.

What the....

Another update???? Are you serious? :faint:

Yes, and if I'm not too tired after my responses, I may do another one tonight or definitely in the morning.

Love CP breakfast, and lunch, and dinner. We need to got back there for breakfast one of these days.

We've never done lunch or dinner (not a big fan of Disney's buffets other than breakfast. If you got that early morning ADR, you wouldn't have to worry about rope drop and you have Main Street to yourself again.

Looks like you guys were hitting a ton of rides quickly too. :thumbsup2

We did well that morning.

Yum! It just needs a little bowl of watermelon on the side. ;)

I was actually going to get some watermelon, but I ended up with more puffed French toast and couldn't eat another bite. :lmao::lmao:

I love the entrance to Adventureland!
Look at that beautiful blue sky and the lovely palm trees. I would sure love to be walking around there this morning.

It was a beautiful sky that morning (wish it would have stayed that way later in the day). I would love to be there walking every morning.

You guys are so much fun, love the new update :)

Thank you. :goodvibes

Enjoying the trip report dont normally read them but this one has got me hooked

:welcome::welcome::welcome: I feel honored that my TR has hooked you. Please don't hesitate to post...I love meeting new friends here on the DIS.

ooops we are going on the 3rd! TYPO :lmao: that's the night you are going right?

Yes, we are going on the 3rd.

if you are staying for the parade we should be able to squeeze in a couple rides! I will PM you our itinerary this weekend, if nothing else we can meet up somewhere along the way :thumbsup2

That's a perfect idea. We can exchange phone numbers and I'll text you when we are just about done with lunch. Perhaps the girls can get another ride on EE and we can do one of the shows and a few other rides.

we've never eaten at CP, was hoping to try it this trip, but wasn't fitting in, always next time!

I hope you do it one day soon.

yay for getting on so many rides in the morning and a M & G to boot! love the photos and that you got in on the Hat fun, cute headband! Megan plans on getting one this trip!

It was a great start to the morning. I wish I could wear the headbands but they give me a headache.

That scotch egg description looks interesting, I am sure my hubby would try it, he will try anything at least once!

So will my hubby.

Tell me about the humidity!! Ugh! I hate what it does to my hair but at least my skin feels better so that's the good thing. I guess. :confused3

When we move to Florida, I am definitely cutting my hair super short. :lmao:

Sweet kissing pic of you and the mister.

Thank you.

I knew it!!! I knew you were headed to CP for your puffed french toast! CP is still on my list of restaurants to try. And happy to hear you had great service...that is so important to me, probably because of all the years Bruce and I spent working in restaurants.

It makes the meal so much more pleasant when you have friendly service.

Looks like you had beautiful weather that day.

Hope you're having a great day....nothing like a little thunder and rain this morning, huh?!

We did have good weather at Disney that morning. That storm last night and this morning was wild. See you tomorrow.

OH JOY!!!!
FINALLY!!! He put on a JACK HAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:dance3: :cheer2:

Yes he did! :)

i'm so happy...

LOVE the pictures from breakfast. and you talked me into it. its a must do next year!

Oh, Mo, I hope you love it as much as we do.

Suzi, I am going to guess it was just a bad day because my puffed French toast was perfect...and the breakfast lasagna was one of Mark's favorites. We had to wait a little bit for Piglet, but we were in and out within 45 minutes.

Like any bad meal experience....I would try it again just in case it was a fluke, but it will be a while :(

I don't blame you.

So jealous you got to ride the carpets with Jasmine and Aladdin. How cool is that?!

It was awesome!

Love me some CP!! We've had many a breakfast there and never had a bad experience. We ate dinner there one time before MNSSHP, and were dressed in Pooh and Tigger costumes. That was a really fun time!!:goodvibes

Our favorite character meal by far. That would be fun for Halloween party time...I'll have to keep that in mind.

Love the interaction with Jasmine and Aladdin!! My goal is to try and get on a ride with characters. It doesn't matter who, just once!!:wizard:

We just missed Alice and the Mad Hatter last year.

Sorry everyone else...I'm falling asleep at my laptop. I'll finish replies and a new update tomorrow.

We are at SSR from Nov 30 to Dec 7!!! I am not a coaster girl myself (chicken) but my DD loves them. She can go on RR with Mr Mark and TOT with Ms Kathy :)

OMG, OMG, OMG, SSR is our Home resort and where we will be too :cool1:. We just might be next door neighbors!!! I am sooooooo excited now :hyper:.

Love WPE. One of the best values for dining down there.
Nice room.
BOG, I cannot wait to eat there. Wow 3 times already.
Nice score on Buzz.
The 1st day looked great.
Nice TOT pic.
Nice ink. LOL
Who would wait 180 minutes for any ride?
Too bad about Sci Fi for you. I have eaten there once and it was enough. LOL
Oh I wish I was riding “Living With the Land” now, One of my favorites.
That Scotch egg is so good.
Love the pics on Big Thunder Mountain.
I am all caught up again.

I thought we were doing MVMCP the same night, we can meet up there too hopefully!

thanks for the description of the scotch egg, won't be trying it since I don't care of sausage.

headbands hurt my head too, they are so cute though!

will PM both you and Mary this weekend so we can see where else we might overlap!

the food looks good, will have to schedule CP again for next trip especially since we missed it the last one.

i have seen the characters ride the carousel before but that is it, i think it would be fun to go on a ride with them, it would be awesome to go on buzz with buzz
