Well it got cloudy and made a bunch of noise in the sky yesterday, but no rain. Cloudy again today and looks promising, then again; it looked promising yesterday.

71 degrees at 10:28 am.

Today was a sad day for my family as my brother, Col Rich, is right this minute on a flight to Afghanistan for an undetermined amount of time. One year for sure. We all spoke to him last night and he sounded awesome and ready to go. He will be in command of 7000 soldiers. God Speed, my brother. Be safe and hurry home to us.

Had a great weekend. Was in the high 80's here during the weekend. Great grilling weather. No wind.

Glad to hear, Thumper! Wish I could say rain later on in the week, I think I might have to change my lawn to look like the southwest. You know, rocks and desert theme. My lawns not too bad, but still a little brown. Most of the lawns around here are brown.

It's 12 noon here and 93 degrees going up to around 100 today. Extremely hot. Hoping for a little rain which we haven't had in a long time. We're in a water emergency here. No watering lawns or washing cars etc.

Right now it is 1:13 pm (Atlantic time) and the temperature with the humidex is 88*F (hopefully I translated that from Celcius right) but the sun is now just coming out (was cloudy earlier) and they're saying it will feel like over 100*F by supper hour...it's the humidity....ugh. (My mom lives an hour away on the coast - it's 62*F - maybe she'd like visitors tonight???)

What a huge difference from last year at this time in New England! We went back to Maine for seven weeks (June and most of July) and it rained almost EVERY SINGLE DAY! The weather was cold, damp, drizzly or pouring. Cloudy and no sun. Toward the end of our stay, we did get in a couple of sunny days at the beach, but that was it.

It is 9:40AM and 89 degrees here in Tucson, and of course, sunny. The entire week is supposed to be in the 100s, but that's normal for here.

Ya, luv, and I arrived home (MA) in August (for the month) last year ... as soon as you left, the temps got really high and the worst was the humidity. It was absolutely a killer. I was cleaning out my MA home getting ready for the our renters (thankfully, we have central air) and I thought I was going to FAINT. It was HORRIFIC.

Now in AZ, at least with the high temps, you don't have that killer humidity like on the East Coast. You have a very dry heat like us here in SoCal.
